After I booked the appointment

After I booked the appointment I was assigned to a lawyer but I woke up 27th of September on the day of the appointment to me assigned to another lawyer I had network issues for about 40 minutes which the Solicitor knew and I spoke to the solicitor for about 20 minutes the solicitor promised to assign me to another lawyer by 2pm that day but I didn t receive any call I sent out mails to the solicitor and to IAS but I didn t get any response until 3 days after stating the things I said for the 20 minutes I didn t finish my interview on the 27 of September the letter also stated that I sign the letter and revert back to them I haven t signed the letter yet because I m not satisfied with your service at all Thanks

Overall a positive experience

Overall a positive experience The reason for 3 stars instead of 4 or 5 is that although i had booked a 1 hour meeting the lawyer was 15 min late and the meeting finished on the original time so had 45 min meeting instead for an hour

Misinformed telephone staff

Be very careful when making an appointment as their telephone department are not very informed The person I spoke to when making my appointment misunderstood that I had already made an application therefore when I was booked for an appointment with a lawyer the information was not relevant to my case As a result I paid 150 for an appointment that did not benefit my case and I was unable to get a refund or a discount despite me beginning a new visa application with IAS

Good peace of mind but disorganised

It was great to have a somewhat affordable option to support me through the process I worked with Abdul who was responsive and it was helpful to have someone to talk to for peace of mind especially when I was asked to provide more information from the Home Office The service could be improved by setting expectations on timelines in the beginning Also by being more organised Between the original consultation and talking to Abdul for the first time I was very confused frustrated and worried I was asked twice by two different people to prove that I made payment to them I was introduced to several people who I didn t have anything to do with The person who did my original advice session recommended timelines to me then I had to chase for next steps over the following weeks putting me in jeopardy of missing those timelines

Would shop around for other immigration services in the future

Overall we are satisfied that our UK Spouse Visa was accepted and my partner is now living in the UK However we were not completely satisfied with the overall service from IAS with the reasons below - Email response times to questions are slow if you get a response SLA is 5-10 days for those who don t know- Lack of communication from IAS both before and after visa submission left us feeling uneasy about the process and decision- After sales support does not that align with their pre-sales urgency - Lack of professionalism in places for example - documents shared via personal cloud storage devices rather than a secured alternative from IAS - Creditcard details shared over Teams meeting during visa submission - Incorrect documents shared to usI had made these feelings clear to the Supervising Manager as well as the Client Relationship Manager who was nonexistent throughout but neither provided any support and failed to fulfil their promise of a meeting to discuss my concerns Too busy for an unsatisfied customer or don t care In future I would shop around for immigration specialist services When paying a significant fee for the full package I expected a much more attentive and professional service

UK Spouse Visa

I reached out to IAS in Nov 2022 for my UK Spouse Visa Application On 15 Feb 2023 I received my visa IAS is a great company full of expert lawyers that one can easily trust I was quite happy with the services they provided but would have been a bit more appreciative if my casework had told me about the timeline of the process before I paid the full amount I found the expertise a bit expensive and wish I was kept more in the loop about certain things At times I even felt like I was being favored or was pestering the team for asking basic questions Maybe the team can be a bit more sensitive and understanding towards their clients as it is very hard to be on the other side and have your future totally dependent on an application Rest everything was great - they are all quick efficient and professional Would definitely recommend IAS

Poor customer experience for the money I paid

I expected better customer service for the money we paid More exactly I was disappointed that the communication via email was poor highly delayed and inconsistent For example I would ask three questions in an email and I would get the answer to one This caused me anxiety and an overall feeling of dissatisfaction with the services provided The highlight of this collaboration with Ms Kurshida Begum was that I received a positive response within only two months and she was clearly knowledgeable of all the steps and documents needed for my visa application

Okay but not worth the price

The first phone meeting to arrange the advice appointment for a Global Talent visa was great However during the appointment I did not learn anything new to apply for that visa Moreover the session left a bad taste in my mouth as the adviser seemed to approach my profession with a demeaning attitude Paying 120 for this session was not worth it

Added stress of poor communication

Anyone going through the naturalisation process with a lawyer is understandably anxious in some way Your future depends on the people guiding you through the process and you re paying a lot of money IAS ultimately took me all the way through that process but it wasn t without additional anxiety added I experienced oftentimes very poor communication with my various lawyers there one in particular didn t respond to an urgent question I emailed them for two whole weeks Some lawyers communication styles were also vague and unspecific and had I not been an English speaker or able to use the internet I would ve had a much harder time I got partial answers vague answers I mostly had to tease information out of them the whole way Abdul M was my final lawyer who helped me with my naturalisation application He was competent and communicated with me better than my previous ILR lawyer R whom I am apparently not permitted by TrustPilot to name and whom I would not recommend for any reason This lawyer disappeared several times for unknown reasons and I felt left high and dry by her When I complained to supervisor Houri Zahedi I was given a new lawyer but the process was much more stressful than it should ve been IAS is so prominent in this field in the UK it s hard to find alternatives to help one with visa applications I would counsel anyone embarking on this process to shop around consult your council legal aid help service first
