Never again

Worked with Stephen Turner and unfortunately what initially seemed like a great experience turned in to a poor and negative one On the initial sales call I asked why my bank card details were needed and Stephen said it was for the credit check I specifically asked whether payment would be taken for the admin fee as I wanted to make the payment via a different bank card and Stephen said no the card details were only for the credit check and I could pay the admin fee with a different card When I passed the check I missed Stephen s phone call and then received a notification from my bank saying the almost 300 admin fee had been taken from the card that I specifically checked it wouldn t be taken from The issue isn t that Stephen made a mistake we re all human and all make mistakes The issue is that when I queried it Stephen blamed me and took zero responsibility I don t usually complain but a lack of personal accountability is something I really can t stand He said it s the company policy it has been for 26 years it won t change and it s my responsibility to give the right card details what Stephen failed to understand despite my best efforts to explain was that I acted on his wrong advice He didn t tell me the payment was automatic when I asked he told me the exact opposite Either he made an honest mistake or he lied just to get my card details and the sale but either way he should have apologised and accepted personal accountability for the issue not tried to blame the company policy and me The company policy wasn t the issue the issue all along was that I d been poorly informed by Stephen on the initial sales call and then he accepted no responsibility and only apologised for the company policy causing me inconvenience when the inconvenience was caused by him Also if it s been the company policy for 26 years why not tell me that whenI asked thespecific question Why say you won t take payment from that card when the 26 year old policy says that you will He also blamed the number of calls he takes as a reason for taking the payment and not remembering what he said to me but again the number of calls taken is irrelevant The policy is the policy so surely he should be informing every customer that the payment gets taken automatically Never again DreamLease got an immediate response to the credit check instead of 2 working days so will use them in future No doubt Stephen thinks the company policy caused my sale to be lost but I can say for absolute certain if Stephen apologised for the mistake and didn t push the blame in every direction other than his own I would have accepted it as a genuine mistake and still arranged the contract through you He arranged a refund which is fine but his lack of accountability and attempts to blame me and the policy were what lost the sale Happy for you to listen to my initial sales call if it s recorded to check what I ve said and forward you the emails from Stephen where he clearly accepts no wrong doing and pushes the blame else where

Lots of misinformation closely resembling a scam

I had a terrible experience trying to order a Kia XCeed through this company The website was possibly still is out of date Some of the specs and options were no longer available I placed two orders only to find Kia doesn t do them anymore When I did place an order for a model and spec that Kia do offer I was informed that the price was incorrect and had to pay a small amount more The estimated date of the car arriving at the supplier was set to June 2023 When that date expired the order status had not been updated either way to say it had or hadn t been delivered with the supplier So the portal too was now out of date too I had no way to login and see the true status of my order By this time I could see the same Kia XCeed model and spec was advertised as In Stock If that was true then surely as someone with an open order I should be allocated one of those models I queried this over the phone and never received a clear answer as to whether the website or my assumptions were correct The expected date of the car arriving at the supplier moved again from June to September to October and then finally to December With all the paperwork sent off we finally confirmed a delivery date to my home address on 27th December I was not given a window for the time of delivery I waited in all day not wanting to miss the delivery knowing that it could incur charges The car was not delivered and I received no communication from anyone I was out on the morning of the 28th December when I received a call from the delivery driver telling me that he was at my address I asked him why today and he said that s when he was told to deliver it So that makes me think the 27th wasn t ever confirmed with them Yet more misinformation I nearly agreed to take delivery on the 29th but didn t really want to be locked into a 4-year contract with them The order was cancelled and credit to them they did refund the sourcing fee that I had paid I don t think it was a scam but it closely resembled one I think in this case they were making promises they just couldn t keep There are lots of 5 star reviews In good faith I trust that these are honest reviews and that my experience is not the usual one but I cannot be sure

Poor handling of customer complaints

Poor handling of customer complaints You are made to feel as if you are an afterthought and all complaint investigations are made without even speaking to the customer to understand the nature of their complaint

Wish I had never bothered

They do not care once you have the car RCI finance is Genuinely the worst finance company Leasecaruk should be embarrassed to be using themI have had my car over a year and pay for the maintenance package I was told I need to call RCI to organise they do not answer the phone and you are told you are 10th in the queue for hours on end I finally called leasecaruk to be told to call Nissan directly I got through to Nissan to be told they have a new number and that they haven t updated any of their systems When I finally got through to them they told me that Leasecaruk has never passed over the details to say I pay maintenance a month it s truly awful and reading recent comments on trust pilot over 95 of people given RCI 1 star I am seriously nervous about handing the car back as it sounds like they will make up lies to change you unnecessary costs AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Be careful if you need to cancel

Was OK process until needed to cancel a couple of days after the 14 day initial acceptance and 2 days after the finance was signed due to business changes They then wanted 5500 to cancel the contract on a car that will not be available for 6 months so is not even in the build process This fee would not even goto the car manufacturer would just be pocketed by them just make sure you read the T C s before you sign and better off just goto the dealer on the car you want these are just a middle man with no added value

Car was supposed to be in stock but after 2 months they realised it was not

Advertised a car as in stock and two months into the signed contract realised it was not true Despite calling them many times I always had reassurance that there were no problems but in the end had to admit that the car was not available and they did not any visibility on eta

Customer service is non existent

When they are still pursuing you to get into a contract to earn their fee of course the communication is good After that they don t update you on anything and the account won t have an update for 4 weeks though they said the car was in stock and would be delivered in 2-3 weeks This level of deception is unacceptable I m very curious as to whether I ll get a response via a negative comment faster than the email I ve sent An edit based on the response below The dates you re quoting are all incorrect so I suggest you review your systems one more time Your representative Ashely actually noted in an email that the expected date was the 8th of July and THERE ARE delays Initially I had enquired about another vehicle with a different colour which had the timelines you just said However I was then persuaded to go with a different colour as this had a promised timeline of 2-3 weeks Wish Trustpilot allowed to attach conversations so we can all tell who s presenting false facts about what s going on

Average now below average

Felt pressured to move quickly to take the car as it was available and would not be around for long but then the process took over a month for a car that was allegedly available and I had to chase the process along to even get that You pay a hefty admin fee and then the admin was poor 3-months later I am still waiting for them to repair a scratch that was on the delivered car 100 avoid
