Public needs to know
Marriott Vacation Club has to be the worst scam ever How they are allowed to get away with their deception is beyond belief Buying into their vacation club for thousands of dollars buys you absolutely nothing That so called ownership is worthless The amount that is spent every year on maintenance fees you can go on a nicer vacation The things they withheld from telling you while signing the contract under extremely high sales tactics is as sleazy as it comes Not only that but the clubs are not pet friendly They even frown from allowing Service pets but do it because its the law They do not allow Emotional support animals Shows you how much they care about you as a person Marriott should be sued and closed down for good

Hospitality and customer services lacking
The packages that they offer for you to try their services are full of hidden fees or you will end up in a closet The excellent services provided at Marriott hotels are NOT present with the vacation club These people at the call center have no customer service skills

Marriott is the biggest modern-day
Marriott is the biggest modern-day scam I received an email for 5 days 4 nights for 269 with the choice of receiving 15 000 Marriott points OR a 100 gift card to Planet Hollywood Restaurant When I called to book it the agent NEVER mentioned I d be required to attend a sales pitch During the presentation I asked if this was for a timeshare because it sure seemed like a timeshare presentation They consistently said it was NOT a timeshare but vacation ownership They told me that I would be paying monthly membership dues but my credit report says otherwise it s an actual mortgage and there are a lot of undisclosed fees high interest rates and a maintenance fee I am required to pay whether I am able to travel or not Don t buy into the decades long reputation that Marriott has build because their timeshares are an absolute scam and worthy of this 1-star review

Business built on lies and deception
We have been owners since 2000 and have slowly built our vacation portfolio over the years to the point we are at Chairman Level highest Overall we have enjoyed our experiences pre- Marriott takeover but lately our treatment has been poor Especially with their position on the Maui wildfires and the return restriction of our points It s as though the entire company wakes up every morning and says How can we F k our customers over today What lies can we tell to sell more worthless properties points This is not a sustainable business model imho look at their 2q financial results Horrible performance in a recovering sector Look closely at this company before drinking the time share kool aid If you go to a presentation ask for everything promises in writing Signed by a manager Lots of turnover Lastly take a look around their parking lot Guarantee they all drive nicer cars than you do

Marriott Vacation Club screwing over those with Maui reservations
Maui is in tough shape with the government saying not to even come to the island The catastrophe is terrible and I feel very bad for the residents and will be sending a donation Unfortunately reservations with the Maui Ocean Club resort for August and probably September are canceled MVC is making people use their points by the end of the year and you cannot make reservations till within 60 days So essentially nothing is available I cannot believe there is no relief to be able to book something We paid 35k for our resort years ago and are paying 1500 each year to be treated this poorly I m beginning to think the points program is a complete scam I would never buy this again Totally disgusted and disappointed with MVC s handing of this problem Airlines waived fees and issued credits MVC gives the middle finger

Run Away from Purchasing Marriot Vacation Club points
I also wish I could give less than 1 star review They take hundreds of thousands of your dollars - and then the availability of actually being able to USE your points is close to non-existent Marriot will rent the rooms for cash to you - because they have plenty of availability of rooms But when you try to use actual points - there is very very little availability RUN do not walk away from buying any Marriott Vacation Club points They are terrible

LOYALTY and Presidential ownership mean nothing to MVCI
After 31 years of ownership at a high level I have lost complete faith in Marriotts commitment to Customer satisfaction and doing the right thing After 2 yrs of trying to get over 6000 point the equivalent to 1-2 weeks of vacations reinstated even reaching out to the Executive offices I no longer feel like anything more than a payment and will be looking to replace them with a vacation company that respects loyalty and customer satisfaction

Run don t walk from MVC
Run don t walk from this company They show you all these wonderful benefits of vacation properties but when you try to use the points you ve purchased good luck You ll never get to use them at all these wonderful places Oh you ll be paying their real estate taxes for them every year I did attend another sales presentation after already being a member to find out what they would say Guess what I was told that my basic membership was worthless and I should invest another 60 000 and I would be able to book any great property anywhere in the world They fooled me once but not twice Save tens of thousands and save up for a vacation that you can actually book yourself Marriot Vacation Club just as well may be called one of the greatest scams of our time The fact that I have been an elite Marriott Bonvoy member for years makes me sick Hilton here I come

DON T BUY ANY WEEK OF THE MARRIOT
DON T BUY ANY WEEK OF THE MARRIOT VACATION CLUB I ve owned a week for 30 years I miss one deadline and they took my points for the year away saying it is in the contract that they can do this AND they said they sent a reminder email We never received a reminder email We never received an email that said they took our points I don t know how they can run a company like this The amount we pay per year is substantial compared to what we get I look at this like buying a gift card The company you buy the card from should never allow the card to expire You pay good money for the card Same with a week with the Marriott Vacation Club UNBELIEVABLY FRUSTRATING There have been other issues of frustration over the years I believe I have some kind of PSTD when dealing with my week and Marriott Very stressful Don t buy it
