DO NOT BUILD WITH METRICON

Metricon is a Nightmare to work with They are full of deceptions false promises and not to forget they can t keep up with their timelines Our land got titled in July this year and since then has been sitting vacant Metricon has not been ready to build yet and till date has not provided us with the final contract - so much for their FAKE Fast track status Don t fall prey to it as Metricon doesn t care about the 10 weeks thing It s a full fledged deception to lure innocent people I regret building with Metricon and advise people not to fall prey if they want to save themselves frustration and mental sanity You will lose your peace of mind when you come to pre-site The whole team is a night mate to work with and no matter what escalations you do it doesn t bother them Oh yes Metricon does not have an escalation path All you have to do is keep calling their customer care team and they keep chasing and leave it for the respective team to respond to your concerns and eventually you end up without a call back or mail from anyone Lesson learned the hard way Please do not build with Metricon They have falsely charged us extra dollars stating delay on our end to provide finance proof My question to all the intelligent people working at Metricon - on what basis am I going to approach the bank for the loan if I don t have final build price Based on estimates if I borrow and fall short how do you think we should pay out of pocket I ve been rigorously and religiously chasing the PSM to get us the final price since our land got titled But their internal check and that too they ve sent I correct details after doing their check for 4-6 weeks They don t have timelines defined for anything They quote their own timelines and make the customers pay for their own delays My ultimate advise - DO NOT BUILD WITH METRICON They can t possibly be ranked number 1 There are other builder out there who will value their customers time and patience

Worst Builders Ever

I will never recommend Metricon to anyone Signing with Metricon has been a real threat to my mental well-being Once you signed contract with them they stop to respond They avoid answering call return calls or respond to voicemails Despite being told our requirements they kept sending us wrong variations just to push us back I can t plan anything further as I am still waiting for the start of building my house with no specific time frame Disappointing

Avoid at all costs

I cannot overstate how horrible this company is We have had multiple roof leaks and every single time it has been a fight to get them to fix the issues they caused Multiple cracked roof tiles leaks they forgot to connect all of our exhaust fans and when their tradies came out to fix they caused more leaks We re currently being dragged through VCAT to get them to do a repair that will cost them 1000 Every time we ve needed the SES out or I ve spoken to roofers they ask who built the house and their response when they hear it was Metricon is oh of course 100 avoid them there are so many better builders out there and hopefully Metricon go out of business soon

Extremely terrible building experience

Extremely terrible building experience We were forced to make payments before the job was completed It took more them 3 months to fix the defects after repeat requests Numerous threats from site supervisors and site coordinators We have been changed 5 site supervisors and 5 coordinators in 8 months We will never recommend anyone to Metricon

Don t build with Metricon

Metricon mis sold my partner I a gas fire while we were building a new home with them The fire place was not ready by hand over and in good faith we accepted the home However this was a mistake once we saw the fire place working we know it wasn t the product that had been sold to us as we had been promised a gas fire with high flames and high quality heat we had the gas checked although no issue with the gas However we were told by Metricon that this was the product and there was nothing they could do I nagioated with the gas fire company who were great and gave great advice as to how we could swap the gas fire over However we needed Metricon s approval Metricon refused to give approval and refused to rectify the situation This was all done with Metricon having reduced communication and saying they would email and phone by certain dates and then not communicating with my partner I We had to consistently chase Metricon for answers I am bitterly disappointed with Metricon and if I was to give advice to anyone it would be If your thinking of building with Metricon don t go somewhere else

Metricon building on the next block to ours Can t believe how dirty and disrespectful the builders have been in dumping waste cement etc on our block driving over footpaths and driveway that service our block- causing cracking No reply to requests to contact us continual dumping of rubbish such as paint containers and other materials old fencing They even cut rope and the orange plastic barrier material I had put up so they could drive trucks onto our block to mix cement drag rubbish from their build onto our block The build workmanship reflects the slap dash approach to all facets of the build as far as I can observe
