"Response Times and Coverage NOT Good"

The response times for Pets Best are horrible You won t hear back for 2-3 months but you ll receive multiple emails that they re still on it Only to wait for them to say your insurance does not cover the routine care that is actually NOT routine

"Very disappointed"

The review process took much longer than promised Ultimately I was turned down for any reimbursement for various reasons At the same time I just received a renewal notice with a 30 increase in premiums Very disappointed with insurance coverage right now Will most likely shop around at this point in time

I signed up for this insurance for a rescue dog that has since gone to a good home I used it to get him neutered vaccinated and microchipped It s been almost 2 weeks and I have yet to see my reimbursement The wellness plan is paying for less than 50 of what I spent plus the 97 a month for 2 months while I had this dog In this case definitely not worth it If I had a long-term pet it may be more useful

"Claim rejected with no explanation"

The majority of the cost of my claim was initially rejected without explanation I had to call to get the information to correctly resubmit the claim Even then it took over a month This process was less than smooth

"I waited over 30 days before I received "

I waited over 30 days before I received any information on the delay of my claim I was told that information was needed from the vet but when I contacted my vets office there wasn t a request from Pets Best I asked the vet office to please call and get them the information needed I received a notice yesterday 11-13-23 that my claim was to be paid an amount lower than I was expecting and might take up to six days to receive even though I supplied my bank information

They consistently take 4-6 weeks to review the file despite stating on their website and elsewhere it takes 5-7 business days It feels either that they are understaffed or that they are intentionally stretching things out to discourage people from filing claims I did not have this issue with my previous provider Lemonade

Every claim I have sent in in the past month has needed attention I have faxed them emails going on their website and they still need attention I have paid five vet bills since October eighth I don t know how to give an itemize list for a prescription either I sent them the receipt the order from the doctor and there is no itemize list for prescription I m getting tired of getting this email every morning that they can t read it when I have sent them in many times in different forms Also should have read the policy closer my dog was just diagnosed with OA suspected coronoid disease both elbows which I was told anything bilateral in regards to surgery isn t covered or long term treatment for OA I will be changing my other pups policy and wait to see if they cover additional e rays scheduled next wk After that what s the point of this policy

"Ponzi scheme insurance"

This company seemingly words their policy in a way so that they cover almost nothing They have it so unless your pet is perfect in every way they will not cover the issue Then as your pet ages they raise the rates making this policy more expensive than human coverage I used to like pet best insurance but now it is feeling like more of a pyramid scheme Pay pay pay keep paying oh your pet is sick that is not our problem you didn t meet the deductible or they try and claim your pet has a pre-existing condition which is most often horse dung Seriously considering changing companies

"I don t recommend PetsBest"

I wouldn t recommend PetsBest I changed my name and submitted the required documentation to update my name on my account buy it took six months for them to take care of it A couple of months later my puppy got sick and I submitted a claim which PetsBest took 28 days to process and I m still waiting for payment I should have gone with the pet insurance company my friend recommended Healthy Paws instead of PetsBest My friend s claims get processed within a week along with payment
