motor

Everything about the purchase of the motor has been easy and very good experience There was only two things that I had a problem with that was in the install kit that I purchased the serpentine belt was the wrong one and the new oil pump that was sent you have to install the old pick up tube or get a new one I know they are sold with out it installed but it would be nice to have it installed Motor is working out great

Updated Bought our second motor from this

Update They contacted us right away to figure a solution out It took a bit longer than expected but it got resolved I think it was an issue with the carrier company that was also having internal scheduling issues Original Bought our second motor from this company since the first one was a great experience Everything went fast and smoothly The second time around not so much Returning my core has been the greatest hassle Its a month of storing this motor through Thanksgiving and now emails stating I wont get my core return I have been more than patient and have gone through all their hoops for over a month Email was sent automatically but really after I almost contacted them daily to sent someone and now they seem like they seem like I m the inconvenience to them What a joke

Small issues but we ll see

Engine arrived on time and was picked up on time no issues there To this date my rebuilt engine sounds awful rattle noises makes putt putt noises on start up I dont like that at all When around 1000-1100 RPM it makes these noises and it is so annoying BUT it does run fine all other times freeway driving is good seems to have the power the truck needs

I have recently ordered and received a 5 4 triton from Powertrain returned my core and still waiting on some parts to come in before I can install the new motor So far everything has went smoothly and I expect the rest of this experience will go well

great customer service as well as information given about product to be bought in my case an engine and transmission there core return was OK was hard to find papers to return the core for transmission engine was clear cut

Everything about the purchase and delivery was right on The only issue I had was the communication on availability Because of the covid issue and availability of assembly parts then the delay of delivery I felt that should have been made clear at the time of ordering That was the only complaint I had with this order Thank you

Good price for good quality

I thought this company offered a good product and a good price I ve seen them advertised on TV I was kind of skeptical to learn they do not do a live test run just a simulated run to check clearances and timing And when offer the install kit I thought it was a good idea after getting my truck back i found a duralast belt autozone and I can only imagine the rest is of the same brand and for what I paid for the install kit I would have gone with a better quality like OEM or my case ford all n all im happy the motor runs smoother and quieter then my previous motor I have now just over 200 miles one it but time will tell

Gotten too expensive

I was happy with an earlier purchase though I was unhappy that the rebuild was done in Mexico This last inquiry into a different engine resulted in a price quote of no interest to me I can get the engine rebuilt cheaper at my local machine shop and have NO core or shipping cost

Couple of hiccups and learning curve The end result has been an excellent performingrebuilt Transmission for our 1996 Dodge Caravan ES with 3 8L engine An issue I encountered was solve by replacing the motor transmission mounts Again the transmission has performed flawlessly
