Graham Ashby was a really helpful guy however the sales staff were an absolute nightmare

Good start then very poor

No communication once sold regarding further viewings by eventual buyer when mortgage valuation or surveyor visiting if this even happened on either account Downstairs window left wide open on a viewing easily access size where an intruder could get into the property Came back to house days after this could have happened Complained to branch manager and never heard anything back or an apology Curtain rail curtain brought down on a viewing s and neatly left on bed never informed until I found this on going back to house Complained to branch manager and never heard anything back or an apology My agent move manager left earlier this year and I did not find out until early March when I asked for him within their office to hand over paperwork Erected sold sign was bending wooden fence which after Storm Eunice made things worse Could not get through to branch on three occasions and then call transferred to their head office Assured sign would be removed as soon as possible within 72 hours Sign still there 6 weeks after and on day of completion Update - Further to my telephone call from Romans thank you for acknowledging the above

Please avoid

As an overseas landlord we were sold and paid for a premium service What was delivered was the absolute bare minimum while charging the highest fees possible In our opinion Romans Lettings under delivered on every area they were responsible for Some examples Our named contact was always out of the office and changed every couple of months Simple issues took weeks to resolve because of this Required chasing multiple times to resolve routine issues Failed to renew contracts or chase late rent payment Failure to communicate with the tenant regarding work Failure to carry out urgent work quickly High charges for absolutely everything If they can charge for it they will Reluctant to provide full details of fees Lock in contracts that they were very reluctant to share before committing Very strongly recommend you find another agent They may not be any better but at least they will be cheaper

Not the easiest of companies to deal with In house selling and purchasing clear and honest information should be given however on my experience this was not always the case

Ok they got me a tenant

Ok they got me a tenant that s the easy bit With a whole load of admin and service errors and issues I can only give them 2 stars Think the problem is there are too many people in the process and you get moved to another new person at each stage of the letting out process However each person in the chain has not done the job properly I am unable to recommend Roman s and once the tenancy is over I will move to another agent

11 months since the sale agreed yet

11 months since the sale agreed yet they are not able to give us an exchange date Numerous calls and emails exchanged but all we hear from them is that the deal is on but the question is when They hurry in to putting the sold sign where as the property is not sold yet My new sofa meant for the new house has been occupying my bedroom for months as they told us exchange will happen in August Complete harassment and disappointment Hope they resolve this matter soon

The Bracknell Property Manager

The Bracknell Property Manager Donna Brant has been very helpful since Romans took over from Leaders Estate Agents She was very professional and took time to listen to my concerns and problems and resolve them She always answered phoned calls and emails and was a very big help to me I have engaged new estate agents because though I had a written contract with Leaders Romans arbitrarily increased the management charges without consultation and blamed new Housing Regulations other estate agents have not done so

Great initially but the continued support doesn t seem to be there

You can see from the other comments that it s all sunshine and roses when it comes to finding a place and getting the contract sorted if you ignore the no deposit option that you re practically forced into But once you re in it s very hard to get hold of anyonePotentially will be left 5 weeks with major repair work needed from day 1 Never had these problems when letting directly from a landlord

Overvalued house to get business

Overvalued our house by 35000 then when they won the business we had for reduce it all within a week I guess doing that is the only way to win business due to the fees being so much higher than everywhere else When had any queries got re-directed to a call centre as apposed to the branch and was treated like their work was done Can get a lot better rates elsewhere don t bother if selling

Long term lease What long term lease

We rented a property through Romans on a supposed long term lease Having bought all new furniture to fit the property imagine our surprise when we received a notice to leave after only 10 months STalking to neighbours later we found out that none of the previous tenants had been there for more than 12 months I reckon they just advertised it as a long term lease just to get someone in Shabby treatment plus all the expense of having to move again
