Poor maintenance Not repaired system in 2 months

My home alarm hasn t been working now for about 2 months as the batteries are dead in the external alarm bell I ve had 2 visits from an engineer in this time and neither time did they have the batteries to be able to replace these I have spoken to a manager two weeks ago but I ve had no contact since then with any further updates I m not sure what I m paying the monthly maintenance fee for really I ve been with them for a few years but am considering changing to a different alarm company after my contract expires Update I only received contact and another booking to replace the batteries following this review It s booked in for tomorrow but the engineer has just called saying once again he has not been given the batteries to replace and fix the alarm This is a complete joke as I ve spoken to managers who assured me the batteries would be ordered in

Worrying

I m sure SECOM PLC are a fantastic company however between 3-4pm today 31 05 24 I was tailgated aggressively by one of your drivers on the M6 South Vehicle Reg MJ22 NMY - Renault Grey Van This was during a busy traffic with variable traffic speed limits If this how this man drives I would not feel comfortable with him in my house

Brought the company into disrepute

Not had a service by this company but I was subjected to abusive behaviour and wreckless driving at the hands of one of their employees I did message the company and have given them ample time to respond Sadly they have not done so as far as I m aware I do hope their service is better than their driving Thankfully neither myself or my daughter were hurt- this happened on a stretch of road which has regrettably seen two deaths in recent months I suggest your drivers I did provide the reg time abs location consider the reputation of the company to a greater extent when they choose to drive like a selfish moron

Dangerous

Not a review of work but what kind of person drive Secom vans Just drove into Balerno a village on the outskirts of Edinburgh The speed limits change from 60 to 30 as I travelled around a series of bends Well into the 30 zone a Secom van comes speeding up to my rear bumper Lights flashing and obviously p d off because I stuck to the speed limit On the next short straight the van over took me despite traffic coming towards us Then racing off to break hard at the next bend and before driving up the a e of the next car also driving at the speed limit Dangerous driving Speeding conservative estimate 50-60 in 30 zone Harassing other drivers Do you want this person in your house

I rarely give bad reviews but I feel

I rarely give bad reviews but I feel it is important to leave this review and hope their practice changes After extensive research I decided to go with Selcom I have paid over 4k but the communication has been awful Numerous times asked for a cost breakdown but no reply In the process of opening up a children s clinic and the security of the patients we treat is paramount However some of the team at Selcom refuse to see this Having to chase the team numerous times about when they plan to return to rectify the problem I will be seeking a full refund

Booking system shocking

Booking system shocking got sent 6 text messages to confirm bookings for different dates and no one turned up Same issue as last year and told it would be sorted out clearly not interested in taking any action on feedback

No confidence in system

Your Engineer was very good but he found issues with our system that failed to pick up intruders and was supposedly checked and confirmed as operational by Secom senior Engineers only a few months ago We have no confidence in SECOM or its system

Notification System Needs Improving

Good afternoon I m under the impression that there s room for improvement Your engineer was excellent The notification system is the real problem Could you send me a text on my phone when you know when you re coming next time please We only received 2 communications prior to the visit An email about 2 weeks before the visit saying planned visit basically saying we don t know when Then a 2nd email a couple of hours before the engineer arrived He actually arrived when I was locking up That could be avoided in the future if you give us enough notice by email and text at least 6h before

Engineer no show wasted my whole day

Had an engineer booked in for this morning who never showed up I rang the day before to check and was told I was first on the list and to expect the engineer around 9 00am By midday nobody had arrived so I rang the office and was told that they could see the engineer was on the way to the house and to expect them soon It wasn t until 2 20pm that I got an email to say that as the parts were not available they would need to reschedule I am not happy at all as I had booked time off work for this visit at personal cost just to be let down This visit had booked for over a month so there is no excuse for not having the parts and even if they didn t they should have informed me as soon as they knew this rather than have me hang around all day at home waiting

8 hours waiting

We have 8 contracts with Secom Phone line is always a nightmare but hey ho Had a call out at 1 30am found nothing wrong Had another call out same thing Rang today at 11 30am for an engineer after numerous promises that my job is next on the list have phoned back again I am now waiting for a night engineer to turn up in approx 1 hour BTW it is now 7 30pm Thanks a lot SECOM
