Shell octopus energy

Just an update on shell energy s constructive theft After shell energy staff telling me the government told them they could estimate bills as high as they like and then refusing to put me through to a manager and putting the phone down on me the case is still not solved This is years of shell corruption I have sent meter readings as requested but they said they got mixed up with what was day reading and night reading I showed them which was which not rocket science I sent readings over and over gave them readings over the phone and they sent someone out to read the meter twice but I just kept get the same message we just need more information another meter reading I sent them photos of my meter many times to create a paper trail as it was obvious they where being deliberately obstructive and just wanted to continue stealing over 450 a month from me four times what my bill should be I have been lied to over and over again by shell energy I had one lady who I though was genuine and agreed to work my bill out She told me that after years of estimating my bills and charging random amounts it came out theat I owe them nothing and they owe me nothing more lies as not possible I asked for a manager call back and as always with this discusting company no call back It has been in deadlock about five times now with Shell telling me it was up to me to contact ofgem and sort it out I contacted ofgem and they said we don t deal with this kinf of case Not sure if this was because she ll said the government told them through ofgem they could charge what they want Octopus energy has now took over shell and sent me an email saying I owe shell 950 and they would take 450 from my bank each month I contacted octopus energy and the man I spoke to said the bill looked wrong as soon as he looked at it He said they would charge 211 not 450 and would work my bill from meter readings in future He said octopus would not count shells claim I owe 950 this seemed very fair and I wanted to be taken to court by shell in order to out the fraud and deception and hopefully get the public to check if this is happening to there parents who have had to make choices whether to eat or pay these thieves Octopus have sent me another email just saying they are taking 450 from my bank and I owe 935 totally contradicting what they agreed to I emailed back 3 times with no reply from octopus even though there page says reply to this email and we will respond The money is due to come out on Tuesday and I have had no choice but to contact the fraud unit at my bank and then block them from taking any money from my bank They will probably cut me off bit it s gone on for many years now and can t keep letting them steal money from me any more I think octopus probably have staff with more integrity than shell but obviously octopus have inherited shells staff and system as well as clients so will damage octopus unfortunately Any advice on who I can contact would be very much appreciated I am willing to publish and share all my emails and corrispondence with watchdog or any newspaper This is a case of constructive theft lies involving the government and ofgem lack of regulation from ofgem and a negative affect on my heath You can see from my previous reviews how long this has gone on for

The download speed is awful if you re a

The download speed is awful if you re a gamer do not get it because you will lag everywhere The signal will barely reaches to certain parts of your house You will need a Ethernet if you want to be able to get decent WiFi in your room Also this broadband is overpriced for how bad it is I recommend no one getting this if your thinking about getting it

Price Gouging

This company just raised my bill by 70 a month I had specifically rescinded their authority to increase my direct debit an instruction they violated They claim we used 331 worth of energy last month We re a childfree couple in an old well insulated double glazed house for goodness sake We don t even have a dishwasher or tumble dryer And don t give me any nonsense about international energy markets Shell s net profit last quarter was 7 2 billion Octopus Energy s profits have tripled over the past five years and so has my bill This is nothing but price gouging - private companies cannot be trusted to handle essential commodities

Very poor customer service

Very poor customer service After being absorb by Octopus Energy they cancel my appointment with the smartmeter technicians without notifing Nobody is thaking the accountablility All the disputes I had with them have been blocked If they were the ones that switch companyes why are the customers paying for it

Avoid this Company and the other one that took over

I was a former customer of this company and I was always on time with my bills I decided to leave them and joined another energy provider last month and was refunded 89 00 I was shocked to find out the other day that they owe me 246 00 When i phoned up their customer services to enquire about it I was told that they only refunded me said amount because of my final bill while in fact I have just paid them my monthly bill a few days before that I m sure that whatever I say or do I will not get my money back Such scheming b ds

Don t bother

Don t bother Price increase from 19 to 36 plus when starting you pay for a full month upfront but when you aren t happy with the excessive price increase you are suddenly told that it s not a full month it s a mid month rolling payment Just don t bother go anywhere but there They do not even answer when you point that out just say they are correct The customer portal help is about as much use as a chocolate fireguard won t even acknowledge a valid complaint just pass onto anyone else but them As always fleecing the customer And to top it all of just received yet another bill on top of the other one I don t owe

Diabolical Customer Service

Today I tried to renew a broadband contract for my elderly relative with this company I decided to walk away and go elsewhere as since Octopus Energy has taken over Shell Energy the Customer Service has deteroated to diabolical It was excuse after excuse hoop after hoop to jump through just to renew a contract I was patronised I was spoken over I was ignored I wasn t listen to I was spoken at told I couldn t act on my relative s behalf without this or that When I asked to speak to someone more superior I was told I would have to request a manager to call me back After again asking to speak to someone more superior I was told that the manager was in a meeting and the and that the agent didnt want to lose his job Naturally after being treated like an imbocile I lost my temper and told the agent I would look elsewhere for broadband plus a few other choice words Do not use this company They may offer cheap prices but their customer service is utterly diabolical If I could give 0 stars I would

I had a phone call from Shell Energy

I had a phone call from Shell Energy back in November stating that if you switch to Smart Meters they would credit my account with 50 within a certain time period I stupidly believed them Here I am some 3 months since switching and having 2 smart meters installed and no 50 Despite numerous messages emails and a telephone call confirming that the money is due and will be paid nothing has been received Even as recent as 1st March 2024 I was advised that it would be in my actual bank account within 10 working days because they have moved my energy account to Octopus this money never arrived I chased up the money yesterday and have an emailed response today saying not our problem anymore don t contact us again chase Octopus for your money This is the attitude from a multi-billion pound company what a disgrace

Account closed - Still getting 2 Bills

Was informed my account was closed after much time wasting and drawn out procedure - But am now receiving emails saying I owe them 2 I cannot communicate via any WebChat or through my account because I don t have one now - It is closed or should be For a communication company contacting them directly is impossible
