avoid at all cost
My son aged 15 ordered items to be shipped to Sweden for about 150 USD Only items for 50 USD were shipped the rest was on waiting list And waiting was what he did for 3 months and no more items He then e-mailed SkateAmerica and got ballony answers 3 times then they didn t answer any more and no items were shipped after 6 months No money in return and no answers on e-mail He then called and talked to somebody who promised to return his 100 USD but no money arrived He then called again another promise and still no money If I would have lived in the USA I would have sued them but now I wrote to the US embassy in Stockholm and they had got several complaints of SkateAmerica and were considering legal actions back home My son is very dissappointed and now much less impressed of USA a statement I am prepared to agree to My son has still not got his 100 USD in return one year after the initial order

Very impersonal and rude experience
After calling to confirm a beanie was available in the size and color I wanted I ordered it online The beanie was about ten bucks the shipping another five dollars The item was sent to another state as a gift but the recipient told me the item arrived more than three weeks later and it was the wrong size-a child s hat rather than an adult beanie Skate America hires a whole online team who have one goal to aggravate customers rationalize errors and do all they can to avoid responsibility The first step Three emails demanding you to establish an online account next they want proof that you received the wrong item by requesting that you photograph said item and send it in an email Then they haggle over a stocking fee My final thoughts I would rather eat the 15 bucks than be aggravated further with over six emails from their stale and ignorant fresh team I would rather spend my time letting my Yelp and FB followers know that ordering from this lame operation should be avoided at all costs

Worst experience
I was one of those dummies who ordered from Skate America without checking online reviews first Seriously who does that that these days If I would have come here first and seen the multiple complaints I never would have ordered from them I had what appeared to be an active discount code but had no place to use it so I put it in the gift card box and planned on calling them the following day during business hours Upon calling the only good experience that I has was talking to the low guy on the totem poll He was kind and professional but was obviously the anomaly at Skate America I politely asked to speak with a manager since he the customer service rep didn t have the authority to extend the discount code but the manager wasn t there or available The service rep suggested that I create a help ticket I explained my whole story precisely and sequentially in the email and got an impersonal half witted response in which they misspelled my name and the only signed their email by the initials DC I wrote back stating that I d like to work something out with them and they simply closed the help ticked In a nutshell a VERY impersonal and rude experience for the most part and I would never even think to order from them again Had they attempted to work with me even to the smallest degree I wouldn t be here writing this It s probably been 2-3 years since I actually took the time to write about a bad experience online Save yourself a headache and order from a retailer with higher ratings

Drop SkateAmerica at all costs
Ordered a deck and parts for my girlfriends birthday They sent me the complete wrong deck then hassled me and requested I verify that they screwed up No apology no owning their mistake acted like they were doing me a favor by offering to pay return shipping on their mistake Turns out they did not even have the deck in stock when I ordered it Dealing with their customer service has been a complete headache I would rather lose out on the 120 than to have to keep talking with their customer service AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Terrible company for buying overseas
Horrible customer service 4 days to tell me the item was out of stock 3 more days to get the order situated 11 days later and still no products So much for same day processing huh Dropped over 200 bucks and they can t even have the decency to make an order correctly I haven t even received my package yet and I am furious with this company Spending the extra ten bucks at your local skate shop will be a much better idea plus the skate shop will order you something if they do not carry it and have access to it Never ever order from SkateAmerica unless you are on your death bed need to skate and the internet only pulls SkateAmerica up These guys are not only posers in the skate world they are posers to the business world as well A quick buck is no exchange for a reliable company Put the time in and build a company worth calling your own

The prices are low but unfortunately the service quality follows suit
Terrible terrible company for buying overseas they failed to mention the import tax anywhere on their web page or at checkout and after paying 50 dollars for jeans and a further 22 dollars for delivery I was then told my package was being held until I paid a further 22 dollars to the courier I will not be buying from them again as theyre staff were extremely rude and unhelpful I would advise anyone to avoid them completely and should you order from here expect to pay for delivery twice

Never received a sweater
If you don t mind waiting over a month for your order while still paying a premium price for shipping go right ahead and use skateamerica com I like to recieve my purchases in a timely manner so I am going back to CCS com for my online shop
