Engineer Tim Smith went above and beyond our expectations when servicing and repairing our Gazco gas fire today He was informative extremely knowledgeable and polite making sure that we understood aspects of the fire we had not been aware of previously Thank you Tim from an Elderly couple

Annual service and faults found

We have just had an annual service completed by Tim who was excellent On time good humoured knowledgeable and considerate We had experienced occasional flame failure on start up and Tim believed he found the cause from a sealing nut not being even finger tight Time will tell A second potential future fault was also found where a cable had been pinched during assembly and had melted through to the individual wires The Rive500 2 was thoroughly checked and reassembled The Gazco service cost is not cheap at 195 including pilot assembly replacement but with competent and careful technicians like Tim you get the confidence of a job well done which is crucial

I originally bought the fireplace from a reseller in Esher who turned out to be quite unreliable The LED lights burned out within the first year and they incorrectly told me I could simply replace them myself That was far from true I contacted Gazco and spoke with a lovely woman named Pippa who was extremely helpful and professional She kindly arranged for their top engineer Reza to visit Although the call-out fee and parts were quite expensive almost half the cost of a new 2-meter fireplace Reza was worth every penny He was highly skilled professional and thorough We re very pleased with the outcome

Tim came to repair our gas fire recently Pleasant polite and very thorough Checked everything and explained clearly what needed doing Cleaned up thoroughly afterwards Took a lot longer than we and I suspect he expected but very professional
