Four months of phone calls and e-mails back and forth

I have my travel insurance with CoverForYou This summer I went to Sardinia from July 4 to July 8 Unfortunately my phone fell on the rocks while I was on the beach so I immediately made a claim when I was back to the UK CoverForYou asked me contact Taurus as this is their partner to deal with phones and other electronics It took me 4 months of phone calls and e-mails back and forth to have my claim resolved Taurus are very inneficient and they even try to trick me by paying less than the price that cost me to fix the phone Good thing I always double check my refunds

So far not the best experience Phone repaired and returned within 5 working days BUT sent to a completely wrong name made collecting it from the post office depot impossible The repair of a broken screen also effected the speaker making phonecalls impossible Returned for further work so fingers crossed Will update once all complete

Beware that their gadget insurance policy is not new for old

I took out extra gadget insurance with Taurus through Sainsburys After being robbed of my iPhone 11 in Paris I collected the very exhaustive list of documents needed to make a claim After a few days I was informed my claim was approved and that a replacement device would sent to me However I had already been forced to buy a new phone as I use it for business and cannot be without a phone even for a few days I called Taurus and they told me it wasn t a problem and that they d get back to me with a cash settlement figure The phone cost me 729 but I was sent a link to a renewed refurbished - used - secondhand iPhone 11 available on Amazon for 369 95 I was offered 369 95 based on this After questioning this I was informed that the policy I bought is not new for old Minus my 100 excess I m left with 269 95 towards a phone that cost me 729 Not at all what I was expecting So in conclusion it was my fault for not reading the policy terms more fully but be very aware before taking out gadget insurance with Sainsbury s Taurus that if you lose your shiny new phone you will only be offered a second-hand replacement or left with a still sizeable bill to replace the phone yourself I definitely would not buy their gadget insurance again Edit in reply to Taurus I never denied accepting the offer you made I also acknowledged that the policy is not new for old Furthermore I accept I should have read the terms of the policy more closely Had I done so I would not have taken out the policy Edited in response to Taurus reply Of course I accepted the offer It was that or nothing Certainly won t be making the same mistake twice

Process Time are Very SLOW

Process Time are Very SLOW Claim Ref NCL PO 00068122 FER-1I am incredibly frustrated with the glacial pace at which my claim is being processed since 7th July 23 It s been an exasperatingly long wait and to my dismay there seems to be no end in sight Despite repeatedly requesting for prompt action my claim remains unattended leaving me in a dire situation as I have upcoming travel plans The inefficiency displayed by the claims department is utterly unacceptable Instead of promptly handling my case they seem to be stuck in a loop constantly asking for the same set of documents over and over again It s almost as if they are deliberately prolonging the process adding unnecessary distress to their customers To top it off they are even requesting irrelevant documents such as the suspension of apple pay which has no relevance to my lost phone claim My trust in their ability to efficiently manage claims has been severely shaken The lack of professionalism and consideration for customer needs is appalling It is evident that their claim process is riddled with inefficiencies and a clear disregard for customer satisfaction As a valued customer I expect better service A smooth and timely claims process should be a fundamental standard for any reputable company Regrettably my experience with them has been far from satisfactory Edit My Claim has been Approved I will raise my review to 3 Stars 1 Claims Teams have asked documents slowly one by one 2 Process Time was slowStill haven t received my phone yet but will update upon arrival Overall Happy that I can use my new phone

You ll get a phone with less battery life

Recently I have made a claim for my IPhone 11 The process was easy and qucik but im still disappointed because they replaced my phone with a refurbished one taht has less battery life than mine I knew I would get a refurbished phone but i was not expecting it with 84 health battery Mine was 96

After a quite rough start with Taurus insurance we reached a settlement and my claim was approved Taurus is good with communication as they always respond within 2 working days However the handling of claims could use some refinement My personal encounter revealed gaps in the process requiring multiple back-and-forths to address issues that could have been streamlined A more efficient and transparent claims procedure would significantly benefit clients But overall a good insurance company

AVOID Always read reviews before buying anything

NCL SO 00078269 OVO-1After 2 weeks of waiting after all documents submitted I decided to read reviews regarding this company as they promised to resolve the issue in 2 working days and here we go - all reviews are 1 star AVOID THIS COMPANY Now a little bit about my experience though the last 2 weeks I rang them 5 times and everyone said to wait few days as the claim was passed to the high management and what is the most interesting - there is no timeframe for decision What If you apply for a visa - there is a timeframe if you apply for a passport or nationality- there is a timeframe Everywhere there is a timeframe but not here Is there a one person deciding all cases If not then why it takes that long If you read one page a day you should have read all documents and made a decision already there is nothing complicated If you pay your insurance- it has to be on the exact day via direct debit if you need to claim from them - waste all your nerves and time and success is not guaranteed OVERALL EXPERIENCE IS A BIG PAIN but the outcome is positive that s why changing my review from 1 to 3 stars
