Rude little man on reception at solihull was on his personal mobile ignored me then was very abrupt Lady in store was very nice and helpful almost redeemed

Mechanical failure of the lift

Mechanical failure of the lift This I know is outside of your control but as someone who is no longer in the Spring of my life being on the first floor is dependant on the lift being operational When I arrived at 19 00hrs on Saturday with a piece of furniture that was heavy and awkward to lift I had already struggled to remove from my flat and negotiate my way down two flights of stairs You can imagine my exasperation with the load on a trolley standing before the sign telling me that the lift was not working and having to face the prospect of either climbing the stairs there or back at the flat I stood alone wondering what to do when a young lady from the Kick Boxing school discovered me and being somewhat stronger than me helped me up the stairs I m sure this is not part of your service or is it

Don t rely on 24h access

First impressions of Titan storage in Solihull were great we were shown around and received a really warm welcome from a friendly guy who answered all of our questions and provided lots of information We were using the storage due to moving house and new house not being ready yet Alll was well and we unloaded our first van load day before sale completion during office hours After this our so far positive experience took a drastic nose dive We returned with the second van load ten minutes after the office had closed so needed to use the PIN we had created upon registering The PIN was invalid when we tried to use it so we were unable to gain any access I did not think this would be too much of a problem and called the out of hours line Firstly every out of hours number on the individual facility s websites are different mobile numbers that are all un recognised I found another generic number and managed to get someone to answer This turned out to be an out of hours call answering company who were nothing short of downright rude and unhelpful I explained the situation and was kept waiting 25 mins on hold then hung up on Called back and explained everything again and was told there was nothing at all they could do and Titan would not resolve an invalid pin out of hours 18 30 on a Wednesday Again I explained our predicament and urgency to gain access to a facility we had paid for and been promised but was faced with a robot that really couldn t have cared less We had two more van loads that we needed to do that night and then clean the house as we were due to be back at work the next day there was no chance this was going to happen so after loads of unnecessary stress we admitted defeat We both had to take the day off work the following day unpaid and this created various other issues I won t bore you with We also had to rent the van for a further 24h again resulting in further financial loss For me the biggest issue here was the major service failure provided by the out of hours line The next day we were at Titan Solihull for 9am and explained what had happened to the staff who again couldn t have cared less On a positive note the facility is modern and clean and easily accessible from M42

Staff are amazing but I ve turned up

Staff are amazing but I ve turned up twice this week and not gone through the gate because of a large group of lads hanging around They are clearly customers as they are inside the gates They are not doing anything Just standing around talking smoking and one was on a small motorbike driving it around the car park I m a female on my own so I didn t feel comfortable going in

Hidden costs same as other review

I booked a 16ft for one month was quoted the half price 13 75 price I also paid 10 deposit a few weeks prior to my move in date When I arrived with my car full The bill was over 40 Really don t understand how it could add upto that even if it was 8 for a key 8 for the lock 8 for insurance 14 for the locker that still only 38 without taking of my deposit Like the other reviewer with my car full and half a day packing it I feel I really had no choice but to pay My printout of the bill does not have a breakdown of the costs just a total I have no idea how it all added up to that and I will be asking for an explanation when I next visit my unit

Good storage facilities but poor communication

Good storage facilities Competitive prices very well secured and access 24 7 Lots of trolleys parking spaces and covid-secure supplies The only reason I m marking them down is that the communication from the Littlehampton branch is poor I am coming up to the end of my agreement and have had a few questions I needed them to answer I have had to chase them multiple times in order to get my queries answered I also let them know that the unit is empty but haven t even received an acknowledgement or even info on what happens now and how to settle any outstanding payments It would be nice to think they valued my custom but unfortunately they do not seem to be interested if you are leaving them

Fcilities excellent Shame about the parking

Facilities are excellent clean tidy and good location Staff polite friendly and helpful Unfortunately I can only give 3 stars at the moment as car parking is awful It would appear that the site has multi-occupation with a car van rental company and We buy any car com also using the premises and both organisations appear to occupy most of the allotted spaces with total disregard for Titans customers Not particularly helpful when you are trying to unload your vehicle Not much better at the weekend or late evening either Definitely needs sorting out

Good facility poor service

Accessible clean facilities and smooth set up process Customer service wasn t good though I wanted to upsize my unit but for weeks couldn t get confirmation that a unit would be available on the date stated or a quotation In the end a week before the movers were booked I gave them 3 days to respond and didn t even get a reply to my email I ve cancelled now and will be moving to another storage location

EDIT Following the issue I had over the weekend Titan Storage has reached out to rectify the situation While not ideal that no one was in while their hours stated they were open and the switch board knew nothing about being closed I do believe this won t happen in future as the problem has been acknowledged While customer service over weekend wasn t best I do believe it was a lack in communication and the customer service I ve received since I can t fault it Original Was due to move over weekend and was assured that office to sign paperwork would be open over the weekend during the limited opening hours Called 2 in advance before they were due to close on Saturday reception vacant and lights off no one called us back Spent 80 to keep van fully loaded extra day went back on Sunday 45min after they opened to find office vacant and lights off Had to phone different storage company and go there Would like to point out called switch board of Titan Storage 3 times on Saturday and 2 times Sunday each time was told id get email or called back Cost me over 100 in total Use at own risk

The whole process was very straightforward and the staff was very helpful The only thing was the moving van suggested which was quite overpriced considering the service rendered
