Extremely bad service

Extremely bad service Apart from the long waiting times on the phone there are 9 people waiting before you the bank works with procedures that ignore the human dimension After providing the necessary data for a business account and having had this account in use for over a year we suddenly have to provide the same data again through a dramatically bad digital form on the website We also have to transfer 1 eurocent while countless transactions have been made through this account for over two years It has already taken us many hours and we are still not there with the submission of data We are leaving this extremely customer-unfriendly bank as soon as possible But we do have a tip for improvement dear people at Triodos Bank make sure that whenever you implement a new procedure make it possible to send the requested data by registered mail too if just for a year

We tried to ask for a mortgage from this bank We are both not dutch so maybe this is the reason wht they ran extra credit checks in our home countries without informing us In the end of the process which was quite complicated since we had two bridging loans on our old houses they accept our offer but the day after they changed their mind literally saying that the loan was high risk in the end after selling our old houses we were asking only 200 000 so we had to give them more saving money form our saving otherwise no deal basically they behave like a usurer We went so to ABN and everything went smooth Stay away they hide behind the label of the ethical bank but they are not different than other companies with too much power money and government protection

This is my service experience with Triodos last week There are 24 ahead in line before you WHAT This week There are 14 ahead in line before you and when I came to place 9 they hung up on me At this moment I am calling for 26 minutes and there is 1 in line before me And I only have the simplest question a new identifier to activate my phone app which I cannot organize online now I hear i cannot get a new identifier because i still am registered on an old adress I should go online and change my adress to my new one wauw how do I do this without an identifier Stuck in a loop with Triodos

In the era of internet this bank can t even manage to transfer money after 5 o clock Your transfer arrives next day What a joke I am closing my bank account Btw it costs 5 euros a month to have a bank account with this bank What for

Unsatisfactory administration

It took Triodos two months to return an important document to me I wrote twice reminding them to do this Neither letter was acknowledged

Loss of trust in this bank

I invested money in this bank in order to support it some 15 years ago Recently end of 2021 I was told the bank will be reducing the value of my investment by a MASSIVE 33 To make matters worse my investment will likely further be reduced in value as it will soon be placed on a trading platform that has limited access to new investors The bank gives no good reason or explanation I will sadly leave this bank after joining it for idealistic reasons namely to have my money in a green bank I am very disappointed But also I have no faith or trust anymore in this bank and fear for its future and that of my investment

I am waiting in line for 16 minutes to speak someone and the employee hangs up The card they issue works only once in while outside Europe You cannot buy online outside your own country or pay roaming no cash at the office nowadays not even a ATM The free account I signed up for doesn t exist anymore you name ut Very dishonet and nothing transparent Good bye Triodos I am closing my accounts

Close our account - now shut out

I needed to close our account I started by moving money but could only move 20 000 at a time I enquired and was told I could raise the limit I did that but it never worked So contacted them to just close the account Worked smoothly but now I cannot log in - you are supposed to be able to log in for up to a year after you close the account I just want a closing statement

I really wanted to like this bank but

I really wanted to like this bank and have tried banking with them now for 2 years Today I have given up and switched The problems are numerous Switching to them was difficult and I never did get them to transfer over my overdraft facility or to respond to my request to have an overdraft with them Transactions are often slow taking hours rather than seconds or minutes with other banks Their website is weird and clunky In fact there are two websites which you have to switch between depending on the function you want Today the final straw was them not transferring some money I really needed to transfer When I rang it was clear that this was a fraud check but unlike other banks they hadn t made it clear that additional steps needed to be be taken and just didn t transfer the money I spent a long time on the phone trying to clarify this Their ethics may be great but this is not a functioning bank
