Paid 104 for two tins of premium Valspar mixed paint from B Q for our decorator to use in the living room and you can barely touch the walls without the paint coming off When we used masking tape to mark out where the mantle piece should go it lifted paint off Other areas have scuffed and come off too I d include photos if I could

Bought the premium paint was told its scrubbable etc heck it cost enough but it was the colour I wanted Painted dark green over pale grey took 4 coats still patchy and it marks and flakes at a look really disappointed will stick to Dulux in future

I bought a 2 5 litre pot of Valspar Premium Wood and Metal satin base A in white to use on doors door frames and new ready primed skirting The opacity of the paint is extremely poor As far as the door frames were concerned I was going over a dove grey colour so I half expected covering this with white might be a problem I m up to 4 coats and I still not happy The doors were already white as were the primed skirting so I expected 2 coats maximum would be adequate Not so Two coats and the result still leaves something to be desired Based on this experience I ll be returning to using Dulux Satinwood which has always performed well

We used to love Valspar paint When we first discovered we were amazed that it covered well in just one coat Last time we used it we weren t that impressed the sheen one as it was scratching off and you could see what had been underneath We decided to try it again last week a magnolia looking Matt one best quality one and covering a very pale green wall turns out is going to take 4 coats we re on the 3rd and still can see the green through it We have run out of a 5 litre tin for an average size room and need another at 44 it is so not worth it It s not even so much the money but the effort involved I m tempted to email B Q and ask for our money back but they ll probably blame us for not whitewashing the very pale green walls beforehand From this moment on it will be Crown scrubbable which our decorater used in the hallway UPDATE 20 2 2024So it did indeed take 4 coats After Valspar contacted me and I provided all the information they requested where purchased photos of tins batch number what prep was done what colour was painted over etc we have been told they will post a paint voucher Whilst I m grateful for their apology and voucher I can t say I ll be risking using Valspar paint again considering the 4 coats it ll require A refund for the second tin we shouldn t have needed would have been more gratefully received UPDATE 21 2 2024 - now been offered a refund for the second tin of paint we should not have needed So all in all whilst not happy with the product or the effort it took to paint the room the customer service has been excellent so upgraded from 1 star to 2 stars

First time using Valspar Dead Flat Matt mixed to colour match our wardrobe at B Q It is gelatinous and goes on much differently than any other paint I have used It s VERY patchy now on 3rd coat Checked reviews to see if my experience was common Shocked to see the reviews if I had seen before I bought I would have stuck with Little Green - 2 coats Matt looks brilliant Very disappointed

Quality paint when it finally matches the swatch Purchased the expensive furniture paint and shade was way out I was told by the B Q team that if I purchased another shade that I liked that valspar would credit the original receipt I asked if this included my paint and was told yes Completed all the forms and Valspar say it doesn t qualify and the team at b and q say it s with Valspar Stitched up won t use them again for my renovation business

Bought 10L of valspar premium masonary paint which I had mixed into my preferred colour and b and qThe consistency was very watery making it splash everywhere Quite difficult to mask everything off outdoors I ve never used a masonary paint like this and returned it for a refund I got a dulux mixed up it the same colour and it is a lot thicker making it easier to apply

We were advised by a B and Q paint specialist to use the Valspar Premium quality paint This one is very good However the lid opening design is horrendous you need a special tool ideally

The valspar paint we have applied to our wooden doors and furniture is peeling scratching off It s particularly bad on the edges

Oh my goodness talk about saying the opposite to what is on the can Bought the Kitchen and Bathroom paint premium one and had mixed to Elephants Breath two weeks ago in my local B Q and after 3 coats it s streaking lines of water down the wall each time someone dries their hands on a towel it s near sending me mad Hugely disappointing I think I will just pay up and buy the real McCoy in future rather than trying to be economical I m gutted to think I m going to have to keep painting this wretched wall
