Sell out event

Don t listen to the negative comments on this site I am extremely grateful for the tickets to a sold out event that otherwise would have to wait 2 years for face value seats and even those were of limited availability People who have complained about this site clearly do not understand the value of tickets in demand and should not comment if they too tight to pay the going price I will definitely use them again Reading the reviews caused unnecessary anxiety in the build up to an event I should of been looking forward to and only relaxed after breezing through admission I paid a little over double face value and was happy with my purchase

Company Overview

Viagogo: A Global Secondary Ticket Marketplace

Viagogo operates as a prominent global online marketplace, connecting buyers and sellers of tickets for live entertainment events. Based in the UK and accessible via viagogo.co.uk, the platform facilitates the resale of tickets for a vast array of events, including concerts, theatre performances, sports matches, and festival experiences. Its core function is to provide a digital space where ticket holders can sell tickets they can no longer use, and fans can search for and purchase tickets to events that may be sold out through primary outlets.

How the Marketplace Operates

The website operates on a straightforward principle. Sellers list their tickets on the platform, setting their own price. Viagogo then displays these listings to potential buyers. It is important for users to understand that Viagogo is a secondary market, meaning it is not an official box office or primary ticket seller for the events listed. Prices are determined by individual sellers and can be significantly higher or lower than the original face value, influenced by demand, timing, and seat location. The platform charges a service fee to buyers on top of the ticket price, and sellers are also subject to a commission fee upon a successful sale.

Event Categories and User Experience

Viagogo.co.uk features an extensive and searchable inventory. Users can browse events by major categories such as:

  • Concerts & Festivals:Tickets for music artists across all genres and major music festivals.
  • Sports:Access to football matches, rugby games, tennis tournaments, motor racing, and other sporting events.
  • Theatre & Arts:Listings for West End shows, musicals, plays, ballet, and opera performances.
  • Family & Attractions:Tickets for theme parks, comedy shows, and other live experiences.

The website and associated mobile apps are designed for ease of use, with search functions, interactive seating maps for many venues, and detailed event information. Customers create an account to manage purchases and sales, with customer service support available for inquiries.

Key Considerations for Buyers and Sellers

Prospective users should be aware of several important aspects of the service. The platform offers a Viagogo Guarantee, which states that buyers will receive valid tickets for their event on time or will be provided with comparable or better tickets or a refund. For sellers, the guarantee implies protection against fraudulent buyers. However, as with any secondary market, customers are advised to:

  • Research the face value of the ticket before purchasing.
  • Understand the total cost, including all fees, before completing a transaction.
  • Review the specific ticket delivery method, as options can range from e-tickets to express courier services.
  • Check the seller's notes regarding seat details, as listings are for re-sold tickets which may have restrictions.

The secondary ticket market, including platforms like Viagogo, is subject to regulations and scrutiny in various jurisdictions, particularly concerning pricing transparency and consumer rights. The company emphasizes its role in providing a secure platform for fan-to-fan transactions, ensuring both parties are protected through its guarantee and verification processes.

Conclusion

In summary, Viagogo.co.uk serves as a comprehensive secondary marketplace for live event tickets, offering a wide selection for buyers and a sales venue for sellers. Its model is built on market-driven pricing and a fan-to-fan exchange, backed by a customer guarantee. Users engaging with the platform are encouraged to conduct transactions with an awareness of the secondary market nature, ensuring they make informed decisions regarding pricing, fees, and ticket validity for their chosen live entertainment experiences.

Really good experience

I actually had a really good experience with Viagogo I bought Harry Styles tickets and they were sent by email when they said they would be They were screenshots of someone else s tickets with someone else s name on them which worried me but the website explains they have third party sellers and they only receive the money when you re scanned into the venue Was a seamless experience

I never think to leave good reviews for

I never think to leave good reviews for things but feel that this will help people who like me read all the negative reviews after purchase I ordered two tickets for Muse last autumn and was told I d be notified a week beforehand about downloading tickets 27 May Sure enough the email came through and I got my tickets Went to the gig yesterday and my gate number coding didn t seem to tally with where the marshals were directing people which twisted my stomach and brought all the bad reviews racing through my mind Turns out the queueing system and staff knowledge deserved the one star rating Got in tickets scanned had the most fabulous time

No issues

No, Viagogo is not an official box office or primary ticket seller. It is a secondary marketplace where individuals resell tickets they have purchased elsewhere. The platform facilitates these transactions between third-party sellers and buyers.

The Viagogo Guarantee is a policy stating that buyers will receive valid tickets in time for their event. If there is an issue, Viagogo commits to providing comparable or better tickets, or a refund. For sellers, the guarantee offers protection against fraudulent buyers, helping to secure transactions on the platform.

On the secondary market, ticket prices are set by individual sellers based on factors such as demand, event popularity, seat location, and timing. Consequently, prices can be significantly higher or lower than the original face value. This market-driven pricing is a standard characteristic of ticket resale platforms.

When purchasing a ticket, buyers pay the seller's listed price plus a service fee charged by Viagogo. The total cost, including all fees, is displayed before the transaction is finalized. It is important to review the final total during checkout to understand the complete cost.

Ticket delivery methods vary by listing and can include electronic tickets (e-tickets), mobile entry, or physical delivery via mail or express courier. The specific delivery method and timeline are detailed in the seller's notes and order confirmation. Buyers should review this information carefully at the time of purchase.

Before purchasing, it is advisable to research the original face value of the ticket, understand the total cost including all fees, review the ticket delivery method and timeline, and check the seller's notes for any specific seat details or restrictions. Being informed helps ensure a satisfactory transaction on the secondary market.

To sell tickets, you need to create an account on viagogo.co.uk, list your tickets by providing event details, seat information, and your asking price. If your tickets sell, Viagogo will facilitate the transaction, and you will be responsible for delivering the tickets to the buyer as specified. Upon successful sale, a commission fee will be deducted from your earnings.

Viagogo states that it provides a secure platform for transactions, backed by its Viagogo Guarantee which aims to protect buyers from invalid tickets or non-delivery. The platform employs verification processes. However, as with any secondary market, users are encouraged to conduct transactions with awareness, reviewing all listing details and understanding the platform's terms and policies.

Viagogo provides customer service support for user inquiries. Customers with accounts can typically access support for issues related to purchases, sales, or general platform use. Contact details and support resources are available on the viagogo.co.uk website.
