Last minute rush

Despite asking for details everything was left to the last minute tenancy documents sent 3pm Friday then phone calls shortly after saying you need to sign and pay rent deposit before the office closes Supposedly there were some shorter timescales involved but things could have gone a lot smoother Few problems with moving in mainly keys not working other tenants ended up being worse off after they were given keys which Your Move had been told didn t work Not the worst agents in the world but by no means the best

Your moves in house solicitors were

Your moves in house solicitors were not in house but managed cases solely on a online system They worked for the sellers and they were slow and their responses never answers the questions from our solicitor in a to the point way but always a round about way taking a few emails to address one query which held the process up considerably At times we had to do a lot of the chasing for paper work from the house side However staff in branch did always have a friendly approach and did what they could to help

They didnt check lease length when

They didnt check lease length when taking on property so we didnt find out it only had 51 years left until our solicitor looked at the paperwork Advised sellers to go with an online solicitor even though they were computer illiterate Took a year to complete Your Move made our sale much longer and more complicated than it needed to be

Your Move is a mixed bag experience

Your Move is a mixed bag experience Though they are capable of finding a good buyer and stringing a sound chain together they fail completely when it comes to a follow up Our account has been handled by different people who didn t exchange information We spent hours phoning them and receiving no answers to our queries At the end we had to contact the vendor ourselves to get things going So do sign up with them but be prepared to do most of the work yourself

Not the service we were expecting

We used the Leicester City Centre branch to sell our house and buy our new one The service towards the end was not very good We were not updated on important information and time was an issue for us Just not 100 given and seemed disorganised Turn over of staff seems high which does not give a good impression I would NOT recommend them to others

Good service but had some problems at the end

In overall it was a good experience Only had problems towards the end of dealing with the agency where I wasn t communicated properly regarding the amount of money that were going to be taken from my deposit I did agree with all the fees and charges being fair at the end but wished the communcation was a bit better and prior my deposit being returned to me I did receive an apology though which was very nice from them

Charges are disgusting

I have just given keys back for property I have rented for 3 yrs I was a co-tenant for a year then lived in the property on my own This is not written by Mr Parkinson It is a review by Mrs Wilkinson Now am told in a letter there is a 114 checkout fee Plus before my tenancy ended they have advertised the property at a REDUCED rent What can I say Gutted

Average Service

Your Move Linlithgow typify the estate agent as a necessary evil Linlithgow is a niche market so we knew we needed something local and they have an office in the town Unfortunately our experience with Your Move was very poor We needed to push for their service at every turn The valuer based in Falkirk did a good job of digging others out of a hole but on the whole very poor service

A difficult move

This house move has been difficult largely because we had only a single buyer who exploited their position to drive down the price etc Yourmove did their very best to support us through this It is unfortunate that they were unable to attract any addition buyers or even viewers but we accept that this was an unusual house We would stress that the staff in the Consett office did their very best and were always pleasant to deal with on the phone

A very proactive agency however I did

A very proactive agency however I did find that they did not seem concerned about the suitability of the tenants I did have to insist that they be more thorough and ensure that all of the credit checks and references really were done If you need a tenant quickly then they will definitely do everything they can to arrange this however make sure that you are firm about what kind of tenant you want and have their credit checked and ask them to prove that this has been done
