Good prices excellent customer service

Good prices pretty fast dispatches considering it s from individual book shops I had a couple small problems but the customer support team were really plesant and helpful

Great for rare-ish books at good prices

I use them if I ve found Amazon s market place prices on an old book too expensive - you ll often find a better deal on Abebooks Sadly Abebooks is still owned by Amazon so it s not like you re helping another business but there you go

Very suspicious that either the company or the delivery company they used orange is a scam

I ordered a book on the 8th of November The tracking number indicates that it arrived in the destination country on the 19th of November So it is supposedly sitting somewhere in the UK for over a month now without ever reaching me I have contacted the delivery company twice without getting any answer The bookseller only told me to be patient which I believe I have been now for quite a while EDIT I had a refund for the book shortly after One month later the book arrived I did not have to send the book back nor did I have to return the refund This service is fine if the delivery date is not important for you

Some great sellers on here

Some great sellers on here books always come within the given time Condition is as described Didn t give 5 stars as there s no review section that I can find and the site isn t very intuitive to use imo Have always had good service though

Reliable service

i used this store a lot for books that were unavailable or too expensive from other book stores it was always reliable delivery varied as the books came from different sellers but it always generally informed you of this in the description if you need a book urgently as in the next couple of days this website is probably not for you but i ve not had too many problems

Frustrating at times

As a resource for finding rare books it is right up there However as a marketplace it can be sadly lacking The majority of books i source here are from overseas and the whole concept of accurate pricing is lost on abebooks - so you are often at the mercy of the book seller over additional charges How hard can it be to reflect accurate shipping charges eBay manages it just fine

Good experience so far

Have ordered from Abebooks a lot over the years Find them so much better then Amazon In all that time I have only had one problem up to now I was let down by a book seller The seller did not acknowledge my email for non-delivery of a book I contacted abebooks and they sorted the problem for me and gave me a refund At the present time I find them the best

After sales service

I ordered a book it arrived fine but unfortunately was in Polish lol I reported it and was immediately sent a returns postage label sent the book back and within days got a full refund Excellent service only lost a star as the book was wrong but the after sales service was 5

Damaged item and horrible packaging but fast and helpful customer service

Recieved my book with torn and crambled cover in poor condition while the packaging wasn t even sealed and was without any protection of the product UPDATE Got a response from customer service the seller s within hours who issued a refund and asked me to keep the book as an apology or to donate it to charity Turned a bad experience around very fast

As used by booksellers for years probably one of the best places there is online to find the harder to find second hand books
