Orders in the last month One mis-delivered got a refund A second one not delivered on the notified date Another did not arrive today the notified date Two other packages delivered as expected This equates to only 40 of deliveries as promised Very disappointing

Generally I find Amazon very efficient and helpful although lately I am getting packages left on my doorstep in full view while the delivery person doesn t wait for an answer at the door My most recent problem concerned a package going astray The idiot who deliveed my package - a quite expensive Christmas present - actually put it IN my wheelie bin which was later emptied by the refuse collectors I only found out by tracing my order and the idiot had photographed it going in the bin I had to re-order and thankfully the replacement arrived in time I gave two stars to this review rather tthan one because when I eventually got to talk to a human being at Amazon customer service she was very helpful with arranging a refund although the whole call took 25 minutes

Definitely getting worse Deliveries often take 2 days whereas previously it was 1 day or even same day Drivers regularly leave packages in inappropriate places - i e perched against my front door in full view of everyone Prices no longer as competitive as they used to be For me Prime membership no longer represents good value for money

I no longer buy books or pop figures from Amazon In fact I ve started making more of an effort to buy elsewhere due to it s unreliable next day promises and the condition of items they deem new They really need to make more of an effort to preserve the condition of the stock stored in their warehouses Last year I purchased a pop 3 times each time receiving it battered ripped and one time the actual figure itself was broken I just don t get it it really can t be that difficult to maintain these things Today I received a book intended as a gift 2 days before Christmas with no hope in returning for a replacement with a very deep dent in the back cover Anyway avoid if you can they re not as reliable as they used to be sadly

Who s stupid idea was it to start putting purchase and delivery information on your Amazon account page instead of them sending you an email Amazon do you really think customers have got the time to keep signing in to your website to check when an item is going to be delivered This morning a delivery driver wouldn t give me my parcel until I went online to Amazon and got some info off my account This new method is rubbish so please go back to sending emails like everyone else does

Ordered a parcel that needed a OTP passcode I missed the first delivery as didn t know I needed the passcode and thought it would be delivered to the neighbour The 2nd attempt I purposely stayed in when the delivery window was as not to miss my parcel They said they attempted to deliver but no1 knocked on the door or came to the house I decided to cancel my order in the end as it was to late as it was supposed to be a present

Why do Amazon not follow delivery Instructions I have set up a safe place for deliveries and added a sign on my door to this effect also yet they repeatedly leave parcels anywhere they choose today another example my parcel was left out in the open near my home but clearly visible to passers by Yet had been marked as handed to resident I m finding this more and more I know the delivery people are not paid enough and also have excessive numbers of deliveries in each shift I ve had parcels taken and then had to go through a lot of trouble to prove it Amazon need to get their act together Also you can t complain directly to them as they put loads of obstacles in the way like diverting to their choice of questions which never cover your actual issue

Two separate orders to Amazon in a week and both were delivered with a problem Firstly a black Samsung phone was ordered but a dark blue one was delivered then my wife ordered some pajamas in size medium but when they came the top was medium but the bottoms were size small

We are finding that the majority of delivery drivers do a really good job however some are extremely lazy and just focus on how much they can earn and to hell with the customers My mother is 84 she has a call point at the gate do they use it NO On the rare occasion they do and she is not there in seconds then they are off to to hell with old people is that it because that is how it looks our gate is about 6 meters from the house and we have a ring door bell system do they use it NO again is the answer well 99 of them but IF they do and they cannot get an answer is less than 5 seconds then they are off We have even viewed Ring them where we had some walk up look down at the door take a image before they walk away then press the ring system and they are gone before we can get to the door gate We have had multiple times when we are in but no one uses the ring door bell but then you get an Email stating they called but you were out or it is just thrown in the garden but they state handed to resident when their is no one at home Is this what Jeff Bezos means by good customer service if so his staff are not listening to him I am was just Amazon mad it was so easy however I find these days that you can generally get what you need from others at a cheaper price as long as I do not need it the next day forward planning saves me a small fortune try it and help reduce the reliance on this company that is clearly getting too big for it s boots and the customer is slowly sliding down the list of important people to Amazon

I am an Amazon shareholder and a customer since they only sold books back in the nineties But I am getting all round annoyed by the Prime next day delivery taking three or four days Why should I pay extra for standard delivery tines I m also in agreement with Cory Doctorow about the enshitificayion of the Amazon catalogue
