I won t ever use Artsy again I used their site to sell a high value piece in an auction from November It took them 2 months to collect the item They then hold it another 3-5 weeks before delivering Then it s even longer to get paid I seriously haven t been paid yet even though the auction closed payment for the item was received almost 16 weeks ago Artsy seem to prolong every step of the process - this helps ensure the money remains in their bank account for the longest time possible There are millions of dollars going into their cash flow each year and they re not paying most of it out for another half a year It is beyond cheeky

I feel scammed I paid thousands of dollars for a piece of artwork that the gallery representatives kept delaying shipping They reassured me repeatedly they had the piece and would send it soon but claimed there were some sudden emergencies with the owner of the piece causing a delay in shipment I was told I would be given a discount for the delay but I was not Two months later I finally received an email from Artsy saying the piece was sold to someone else and that the hold was removed from my card Well it wasn t a hold The money was debited as a sale from my bank account two months ago and I have not yet received a refund or any tangible information about how and when my money will be refunded What has this company been doing with my money for the past two months

I was so excited when I came across artsy I have sent 3 emails asking a question and I have received no answer For 17 99 I received a piece of paper showing specifics on what kind of cement to use I feel that this is a real rip off and that I have been misled and this is just another way for her to make money My View is that she just does not care about personally answering customers questions who happen to take an extreme interest in her projects I have been misled and I thought that this was a personable kind of company that would answer consumers questions on the projects that artsy explains Very very disappointed just another vendor who doesn t care

I purchased 2 pieces by the same artist from the Abigail Ogilvy Gallery using the Buy it Now feature After I completed the order the gallery told me through the Artsy support team that they would not sell me the items unless I paid an additional 40 for them It feels really unethical that once I committed to purchasing the art work using the Buy it Now price that was set by the gallery that the gallery Artsy came back to me afterwards and demanded more money 40 is a lot more

This site will open a lot of pop-up windows to make your life miserable Of course they think that these are helpful features not annoyances These guys have no respect for users So don t bother with them Companies like this just burn VC money close doors re-open under different website raise VC money again and burn it and so on

Hello readers - please note all of Artsy net positive reviews are by invite You can see this on the invited sticker next to their rating Actual Real reviews are negative We are a gallery who made the unfortunate mistake of signing up with Artsy net Despite being on the platform for a year being assigned a marketing advisor following all of Artsy s suggestions and uploading over 200 art works our 550 per month investment yielded 0 inquiries 0 sales and a whole lot of time wasted on uploading the works onto their platform Additionally we were lost amongst the 5000 galleries on the platform The company will not allow you to get out the contract and will make sure to hound you until you pay up When and if by any chance a potential client clicks onto your image they will be quickly diverted to other galleries The only people benefiting from Artsy are the owners of Artsy net Save your time and money - you will get WAY more out of Instagram

I tried to order an item several times and kept and kept getting an error message I tried emailing the address listed on the app and my email was returned I found another email and sent a message I received a response right away and was asked to send screenshots of my attempt to make a purchase The rep thanked me and said she would look into it The next email I received from her asked me if I still needed her assistance I replied that no one ever helped me and heard nothing back I don t want the art that badly This company needs to get its act together

Prices are suppose to be vat included according to T C Accepted full price of an artwork on the platform which should have been vat inclusive then made actual payment outside and had to pay vat on top at customs Artsy simply says that since payment was not done through their platform they have no responsibility despite the quoted agreed price was accepted on their platform They know about these scams but don t do anything to either block scamming galleries or force reimbursement Unethical and not trustworthy In the below comment Artsy said I chose but it s false I made the offer on artsy and then the gallery directed me elsewhere so I trusted The fact artsy don t remove this scammer vendor from the platform says it all on how artsy really works A place were scamming galleries operate without impunity

I have tried to place on Artsy two adverts for artworks for sale on behalf of my gallery Amos Achilles Art I was informed by automatic email that the adverts were under review Since then despite my chasing up by email twice I have heard nothing and the adverts have not appeared Phone calls to the London office are met with the message that the Artsy voicemail is full followed by bizarrely a thank-you for using the voicemail service I would be grateful for some response from Artsy at this point - even if it is a rejection Dr Jeff Amos

Do not use this platform or service They cancelled a sale from Attika Fine Arts My offer was accepted and my credit card charged When I inquired about shipping they said the gallery claimed the accepted price was too low and they cancelled the transaction Artsy refused to complete the sale at the accepted and paid for price This is unscrupulous fraudulent behavior Stay away
