A poor website last year has been made

A poor website last year has been made even worse following a self styled upgrade I simply dont believe all the positive feedback below raving about the new portal seems too much to me My experience is very very differentShockingly poor portal with truly bad functionality Trades in ISA turn up in SIPP Trades dont complete Data is incorrect Poor selection of funds to invest in Weak supporting info behind fundsIm now moving investments to other locations as have finally given up Total incompetent if not negligent rip off UPDATE - now Im told the wonderful upgraded IT system didnt collect fees due to insufficient funds when will this end Its a new problem each week Avoid

Transfer time

One star so far given my past experience As reported previously disappointed with failure to inform me of action that would have saved me investments fees over many years Transfer of old Aegean funds to bestinvest now seems to be taking a long time Think it is time to move to AJ Bell

Problem with multiple trades in same fund to build up stake

Wanted to invest my transferred ISA into Evelyn Smart Adventurous fund over 10 equal instalments over 10 days rather than all at once Not possible to make a 2nd investment in the same fund while another order in the same fund takes FOUR days to complete Ten instalments would take 8 weeks to complete No other platform has this restriction

Awful company

Awful company Could not open an Account online and when I called them to ask why they couldn t tell me Sent completed paper app forms and followed up a few days later when I didn t hear from them Was told they couldn t find them Made complaints but again had to chase them for replies and when eventually a reply was received they didn t even have the basic manners to apologise for messing me around so much

Avoid this platform

One of the worst platforms on the market Unable to execute trades quickly or sometimes not at all due to system issues Not a good selection of funds compared to other mid-level providers Mobile app is a joke when you want to invest in an asset it takes you out of the app and into a new browser to select user experience is terrible Avoid at any cost Help on the phone is amateurish they are generally inept at dealing with issues in a timely manner

Non-responsive Client Resolution complaints team

I transferred by pension from another provider to BestInvest I was told the process would take around 4 weeks and this was the case for my wife s pension However mine took 86 days due to a number of administrative errors by the BestInvest Team I raised a complaint with them on 22nd May and then again on 8th June To date I have received no response other then an acknowledgement of receipt I have lost thousands in income during the delay and the Financial Ombudsman can only intervene once I have had a final response from Best Invest

Terrible customer service

I raised a pension transfer request out in October 2023 This request failed but BestInvest did not notify me I re-submitted the request in March this year I have called them at least 20 times to get this actioned without success Upon calling I am always assured by that the transfers team will provide an update They never do Most recently I raised a complaint on 26 June This has not been actioned either I have never encountered such poor customer service

The platform is OK and the fees are

The platform is OK and the fees are very fair The customer service in terms of answering messages within the portal and complaint handling however is the worst I have ever come across in my entire life and I have had some shockers Following 4 messages that I sent trying to resolve an issue and three telephone discussions where I ended up raising a formal complaint I never once had a reply or even an acknowledgment of my registered grievance I ended up moving all of my funds away to my other SIPP platform as I was so disgusted with the abysmal level of service or complete lack of it in this instance Good luck with anyone that needs to have a query resolved as it is just totally ignored Very sad indeed for a financial institution

Great funds good platform but non existent customer service

Great funds easy to use platform but non existent customer service Had an issue resulting in 14 000 going missing from my fund Couldn t get anyone to respond to my messages promises to sort it and get back to me with an update never kept Did eventually get sorted but but still no explanation or apology

I am writing this review in the hope

I am writing this review in the hope that someone from bestinvest responds Have been trying to get a hold of the customer service for 3 months no response Wrote to the CEO in the end No response Write to the FCA who said they will ask the ombudsman to look into it This company has zero people in charge of customer service
