some flimsy parts

After using another canon for 6 years I purchased a pixma TS8050 At the time I write this I have only tested it on word web and a few photos all 3 exercises proved satisfactory I have not yet tried the supplied software and probably wont as I don t do many photos and never do the other things the extra software can do Despite watching a youtube video showing a duplex button in the screen menu I cant find it You can do duplex on web but if you do it on word via settings and options you must remember to untick it after or your choice will stay in for next time Take out the cd tray if you don t want it as it hits the paper tray cover and knocks it off Choose the option to let the printer close the paper tray as your not really sure just how hard to push it manually After the first use where the printer opened the front panel above the delivery tray I left it as it was that way I will always know its opened far enough The above are not criticisms they are tips My final comment is a criticism though not just aimed at canon but ALL printer manufactures Why are paper trays and the delivery trays made out of a polythene type plastic they should be made out of stronger abs plastic and there is more than enough room to make them thicker to be more rigid To prove I am a genuine customer the printer serial number is AETR 07413

Another great printer from Canon Pixma TS5150

I bought another Canon printer a few months ago from Argos Our previous one had died on us after 15000 sheets That seems to be its life span We decided to go for another Canon as our last one had lasted for 9 years without a hitch Previously we had a Brother and Kodack brand The Brother was average and the Kodack didn t last long I was not willing to take a chance on another brand Since covid adults and children alike are spending more and more time at home A lot more people are now competing to use the same printer So we needed reliability It was a no brainer it had to be another Canon printer We chose the TS5150 model It is slightly smaller than the last model Much quicker at printing than our old one was Our cat Tom loves to watch the printer throw out another printed sheet There is a look of total surprise on his face every time So entertaining for cats as well
