I booked a car via Check 24 who used Sunny cars as the provider In the booking process I was asked for an international drivers license which I didn t have I independently checked that at the current location indeed I would need that Intl drivers license Since I could not comply with requirements I then left it at it and failed to cancel or recall my booking I thought as I could not comply with the rental requirements the booking would not proceed Now the sneaky part starts Only when I was back home i saw that sunny cars had deducted the 169 Euros from my credit card right at the time when I was supposed to pick up the car Being overseas i only got the sms and all the notification after the journey Then I contacted check 24 who kindly called me back and explained that I had failed to do my duties and so this money can not be refunded I should have called them but at the time I didn t know I was charged money or that I had a booking as a valid booking wasn t possible anyways Well I am afraid I have to book these 169 Euro under stupidity tax on my side Still I m a disappointed and had hoped for some refund

UPDATE Check24 attempted to reach out to the company I booked through and they weren t able to recover my money or willing to cover it themselves I m not surprised at this as it was partiallly my fault but still shows that there is a risk when engaging with companies from countries such as spain italy cyprus greece etc I was provided with a 50 gutschein for Check24 s German portal which is modestly helpful but overall still quite a stressful experience I think Check24 is still the best option though and have had good experiences with them previously paid 152 euros extra as a penalty at the counter because I couldn t use my girlfriends credit card to pay it says in the fine print that the main driver also has to provide the credit card but that wasn t the case with a previous bookingIe insured with Centauro as well as paying for triple extended coverage insurance through check24Effectively paid 350 euros for a tiny cheap dented car that was booked weeks in advance On the ground Check24 was of no help unfortunately Would avoid Centauro at all cost Booking directly with Sixt looks expensive but in my experience ends up being a vastly better experience Awaiting response from check24

not to be trusted at all very complicated many technical failures - Update the employee was very rude and impolite after I asked him politely to speak slower so i can understand him he hanged off the phone

I asked for a refund and they declined even though it was their fault that my rental was not successful I go to the rental car companies lot to receive my rental car which I had booked through their web site note that the transaction was through from their web site and the employees there didn t let me take the car because I didn t have a credit card on my name and I don t have a German bank account And I asked the customer support for a refund and the answer was NO DO NOT TRUST This company especially if you don t have a German bank account I m still fighting for a refund And for the best part I completely lost my hotel reservation because I had no way of going there in time UPDATE At least after 10 days I got 75 of my money back

I really had a lot of truble getting a refund from Check24 de after I tried to rent a car via their website Getting my refund took more than a month after they had agreed to make the refund When you have issues with anything bought via Check24 then you are only in contact with their customer service However they are just the middleman They are going back and forth between the company you bought the service from and you Finding a solution with them when there is a problem therefore takes a really long time as they cannot make a decision on their own

They sell vodafone dsl o2 dsl wich is are bad product why Vodofone customer service is worst ever They let me wait 1 hour and then hang up the phone It is designed like this because vodafone sales can be reached with 10seconds waiting time The reviews here confirm vodafone is unaceptable and check24 should not sell it their own vodafone reviews are not reliable i guess

Initially very helpful when you want to buy new insurance Any changes or terminations do not work smoothly Every time a different person asks the same questions over and over again Only a few of them speak English The communication between check24 and Insurance company cannot be fully trusted e g forgetting to forward the documents you provided to the proper people etc Not sure if there are any better options in Germany as customer service is not really their thing

Please make the online varification work Exhausting to to spend all night doing online varification The app is so bugged that every call is aborted in the middle of the call

I paid for a Hotel for my dad and then the Hotel let him pay again when he was there How bad can the communication get that they didn t know it was paid already Now I need to reach out to their customer support and collect my money
