The only positive thing was when I switched to chill insurance I have got good deal on my first insurance on first year and that s it On the next year got way higher quotation for no reason as no penalty points claims etc I went back to my previous insurance company and got better deal than Chill offered In my view they give you great deal for the first year to get as munch customers as possible later it doesn t look good

First-year fine second year expect price increases After the first year insurance has been completed and despite and additional years no claims discount our insurance renewal price went up considerably Of course the covid excuse was still being used However when entering my details to the same company as a new user the price was 491 compared to the 638 they were offering me on renewal To add salt to the wounds they have multiple articles on their website stating how immoral it is to overcharge existing customers compared to new customers Practise what you preach comes to mind

If you have a car accident which even if not your fault you will be punished by chill Their car insurance renewal after the the 1st year can go up to 400 euro in admin fees alone nevermind the insurer premium and is at the discretion of chill team These fees are hidden and not in any correspondence I received they claim they reveal these fees if they speak to you on the phone Everything I did was online They do not reply to email queries or leave names in chat You may get a good quote first time around but its not worth it avoid

The only reason I gave two was because in the past I have had no issues thos rime around renewing my policy was different The person I dealt with was very rude and has made me feel that I shouldn t have renewed my policy with them The person clearly should not be in renewals or dealing with the public if that is how he speaks to everyone

To begin with when taken out a policy all is fine except for all the login online nonsense to get your documents Then when you have an error or issue good luck getting that resolved phonecalls several emails and documents still not corrected verification codes dont work when trying to login poor customer service Am about 2 months now trying to resolve what should be a simple matter

Fernando was incredibly friendly and helpful and I can t fault his service at all The stars are for receiving multiple messages being told my policy would be cancelled for not submitting a document I never received despite several calls by myself to explain and have the document sent to me

The wait time on the phone is ridiculous Never had that with other companies I dealt with Will stay with Chill this year but won t renew

This is my second time renewing two policies with Chill I paid one policy in full no problems My other with a direct debit outsourced to Close Brothers finance This is when my issues started Between Chill giving my name to Close Brothers incorrectly not amending the issue until after multiple emails and phone calls to the point my policy was days from being cancelled setting up TWO direct debits for the SAME policy and then not accounting for my already paid deposit it is all a huge mess and headache to deal with I entrust this company to insure me and to drive safely on the road with my two children Thankfully one of their staff members Hannah did an amazing job sorting it all out for me She genuinely saved my opinion on the company hitting rock bottom A genuine star took almost an hour to get both policies all in order reassure me and keep me in the loop
