Looked to book a ticket to Dubai from London and took me to a booking declined page when I went to book Looks like they outsource the call center abroad as they then tried to sell me a more expensive flight didn t get charged so something to be careful off Don t trust as a new buyer

Booked through Crystal Travel and although was pretty painless when the tickets came through there was a mistake on the names on all 3 tickets and trying to get them to change them was very frustrating Fingers crossed I don t get turned away at the airport

Don t trust their advertised prices

Our flights were advertised as almost 200 cheaper than they actually were Feels duplicitous Staff tried to talk us into flying different dates but that wasn t what was advertised To travel on our original dates we ended up spending more than we wanted to

My bad experience with Crystal Travel

Because of my I ll health I had to rebook my ticket I was coming back in April 2023 but decided to rebook and decided to come back but they charged 700 00 for me and my wife to rebook When I booked my ticket with them they said to me that I will be getting one rebook without any charge but once they had my money they didn t want to know Not again I will book my tickets with them My brother and his family were going to book with them and I told them not to do after my experience with them 7

Refund denied after double-booking same customers for same flight

As recommended by Google Flights on 1 17 2023 I called Crystal Travel to buy two tickets for 2 adults from JFK-MEX After placing the order and while still on the phone I was emailed a request for an approval which I answered Around 2 hours later I received a call from Crystal Travel letting me know that the Airline had not accepted my original reservation as they had run out of that specific offer rate They offered me the next best rate on the same flight for the same 2 adults and I accepted I was told that my credit card would be credited in a week for the original charge of 701 94 and a second charge was added to my card for 788 00 The new charge included the addition of 1 check-in luggage At 7 25 PM on the same day of 1 17 23 I received another call from Crystal Travel to inform me that the new rate did not allow me to pay for a piece of checked luggage in advance and that I would have to do it at the Airport during check in I was told that a refund for the luggage for 31 90 would be processed into my Credit Card in 24 hours On 1 28 23 I received 2 emails for 2 different reservations each for the same 2 adults on the same flight from JFK-MEX Obviously the first reservation WAS accepted by the Airline and it was never cancelled by the agency before they sold me the second one a more expensive one I called the agency and told them that they had double booked me and that my refund was never issued to which they responded that refunds are only available in the first 24 hours of purchase However this was not MY mistake not my doing and I was already told that the refund was going to be given to me in one week Additionally the refund for the luggage that was supposed to take 24 hours has not reached my credit card as of the writing of this email 3 29 23 Since I did agree to the second more expensive option I am only requesting the refund for the first 701 94 amount as well as the 31 90 for the luggage from the second sale which I never received I have all the correspondence as well as my credit card transaction log evidencing the above I am sure that if you go back to the recordings of the conversations your agents had with me they will be able to hear how I was told that the first ticket was not valid and that they would refund me in a week I tried calling to fix this with no resolution I contacted my credit card company and I am disputing the charge with the email evidence I have from Crystal Travel

Good price mis-advertising misuse of personal info pushy service

Good price But annoyingly I was called halfway through booking online because I was taking too long This was intrusive and unexpected as I hadn t submitted the page which contained my personal information and yet it was already being used contrary to my consent After booking I received another call from someone who was very difficult to understand I work in translation so I am very comfortable working with people who don t speak English as their first language but this was a challenging call trying to upsell me a better seat and telling me you understand the ticket is not flexible This was mis-advertised as a flexible ticket and I told the person that the website stated it was fully flexible with no additional charges The caller informed me the only flexibility is actually the ability to make changes prior to the agent confirming the ticket with the carrier The calls and the misrepresentation of the ticket type mean I won t be returning as a customer

Got very bad experience on this travel company in fist time can t find on helpful I was fill like taking advantage after booking tickets

think before you go here

First of all they have been responsive to my messages that is a positive What I am struggling with is that i had to male a couple of changes one because the hotel was not on the beach and the other because of an unexpected operation for my husband So we put out holiday right back to allow him to recuperate They put our holiday up by 600 as they said the hotel was on the beach but its a three star hotel and is about 30 a night to book The holiday is not almost costing my 5000 Every hotel they offer is three star and no more Its disappointing as I have paid half the holiday now and am being told ill lose the money and can not have any back despite not going for another 11 months I feel so trapped as this is not what I would have expected for 5000 in Bali Other travel agents are charging much less for all inc -ours is room only On balance i ve learnt my lesson no one calls you they message via insta or email - the service is ok but i ll never use this travel agent again its cost a lot to go to a bog standard hotwl in Bali that has childrens slides in the pool and we are in our 50 s it makes me query how much they look for clients needs or the financial margin I also asked to speak to a manager and no one has called me - its a mess in part due to me but they are a really unbending company who have just increased and increased costs at every turn- I dont feel that they have my interests at heart at all just the financial margin

My Booking got Declined

I would have given them 1 star but they earned the extra star as their chat app got one of their agents to phone me back promptly to deal with my query I was using them for the first time to book a Business class flight to BKK with KLM I chose them from the results of a search engine I put in all my details and even chose the flight upgrade option an extra 100 and paid with my Amex card but then immediately got Booking declined message I have bought online tickets many times and never received such a message before During the callback the agent claimed those seats were no longer available and obviously I wasn t happy at the misrepresentation of their website He mentioned if I was flexible with my dates and times which I was and I thought he was helping me book similar flight with KLM but instead he was offering a lower rated airline via Abu Dhabi at a higher price 300 more than the one I had booked earlier He was claiming that the price for my earlier flight with KLM was costing about 600 more Meanwhile as we were chatting I was still getting cheaper prices coming up on my iPad Luckily they hadn t taken money from my Amex so I asked them to terminate my procedure I confirmed that it was because of their prices that I was no longer interested I then went back to my search engine and got the exact flight I had found earlier at relatively the same price as before that Crystal Travel claimed unavailable or costing 600 more meaning I saved myself 600 I certainly wouldn t be choosing Crystal Travel as an option again as booking get declined

Shady sales practices

If you think the prices are too good to be true - they are Attempted to pay for flights payment was rejected and received a message to call them Once I called them I was told this price was no longer available and the flights had gone up in price I asked for 24 hours to consider whether to proceed with the booking In the interim I had found a more competitive price on alternative dates It was clear the sales advisor needed the commission as I received 3 missed calls and 2 emails throughout the day asking if I wanted to complete the booking I emailed back to explain that I had booked elsewhere The sales advisor then tried to make out that I could not cancel the booking despite no payment having been made I had to get quite insistent with them to get written confirmation that the booking would not go ahead They are clearly working on commission and using unethical sales practices to try and make you think you have no choice but to book through them I would sincerely recommend avoiding them They typically reply we have no record of a booking under your name to try and make it look like the customer is at fault Please do not risk booking through any flight broker and only deal with the airline directly as unfortunately this is common practice
