Terrible Service if they break
Firstly credit where credit is due The glasses are excellent and will last you at least a couple of years I bought 2 pairs and one lasted 4 years They also looked great right till the end Sadly covid exposed appalling service and customer care from this company People in lock down still need to see I had a broken pair of spectacles from Cubitts that needed repairing They wouldn t repair the specs for less than a new pair Fine lets buy a new pair Due to the law I needed an up to date prescription Fine off to specsavers near me to minimise covid exposure I got the needed prescription Now according to Cubitts customer service agent All I needed was a prescription and they d put together my new specs I was delighted but it took quite a while to get things in place as I wanted 3 new pairs After new pairs were sent out without prescription I tried them on and was delighted However it s at this point the customer service agent decides to drop the bombshell that I need to come into the store to complete the process She d had my prescription for about a month and failed to mention that the whole process of ordering online was useless to me as my prescription wasn t inline with their online ordering process What angers me is that she then said oh don t worry you can come in some other time and get the prescription done at a later date ie walk around with broken glasses until the lockdown restrictions end and it s safe to come out Obtuse is the right word for this companies service I d suggest your local opticians or sadly Specsavers I m not convinced you d get better service but at least you don t need to battle into town from the country to get your eyes measured something they ve already done with me but obviously lost the records In short Buy local and avoid the London hype about this company you ll regret it unless you happen to live next door to them You wouldn t keep your doctor 20 miles from you and you certainly shouldn t keep your opticians far away from you either
