Be careful with these sharks at the Cabos airport location After paying through expedia I got charged 350 as deposit for bringing it back to same location Brought it back in good condition was told I was going to get my deposit back never got it back even after disputing with both our banks DO NOT BOOK HERE

They stole my belonings

Long story short I forgot my hiking boots in the back of the car my fault and not 50 min later I call to tell them The shoes were gone and not found aka stolen by the cleaner Which big company steals from their clients I called them multiple times sent them emails contacted their live chat and they just stop responding It s probably normal at the Europcar Mexico CDMX Aeropuerto to steal stuff because they don t care at all Besides they tell you the deposit will be back on your account within a week but we re 3 weeks in and counting and still don t have my 1200 dollar deposit back

This company seems a total sham

This company seems a total sham I reserved a car online in Cabo San Lucas paid for it and received confirmation When I went to pick it up the local agency requested an additional rate of 47 per day and a hold of 14 000 because the US credit card was insuring it Refused to pay them Sent email to Europcar They did not even bother to respond So I disputed the original payment with the credit card company This company should lose its license it just makes an awful name for Mexico

USD 2 000 unauthorized charge

Europcar M xico is either a scam or an absolute mess Brought back my rental car and got assured that the deposit would be unblocked from my credit card but found out few days later that instead the CARD GOT CHARGED WITH USD 2 000 without any explanation Europcar has not got back to me after several inquiries via email and on the telephone they cannot help either

Very bad experience Not recommended at all After 11 days they haven t released the card deposit yet They added an extra fee without notification A lot of hidden information in general as you don t see the contract until you have already paid and signed everything Really old and basic car in a really poor condition Not very helpful employees either

Criminals

Scam artists I booked a car through carrentals com an Expedia company for San Jose Del Cabo for 4 days The total was approx 224USD Upon arrival they refused to rent the car without paying an additional 218 in insurance This was in addition to the liability insurance that was included They also charged my credit card an additional 1 600 as a security deposit Let s see if I ever get that back Avoid this company They are truly criminals

Never under any circumstances rent a car from these thieves This company has the worst customer service in the world not to mention the highest cost insurance anywhere If you don t use their insurance then they put a 2500 dollar hold on your credit card so you get highjacked into using their insurance for 100 dollars a day We had our car washed before it was returned and they wouldn t even give us a ride to the airport in Cabo we had to walk with luggage almost a mile Beware fox is a part of these thieves Absolutely a terrible company

We need a class action against these criminals

Like all of you I got scammed by these criminals Got charged over 1000 for the insurance and then they add 485 for a missing tire when I had pictures of the trunk without a tire I found the ceo s email peter gowers at europcar comSent him a piece of my mind I agree with someone else - class action needs to start against these criminals

SCAM ALERT

SCAM ALERT I would have given a negative star rating if possible Europcar is a scam I used the Europcar online reservation and payment system Arrived at the Tuxtla Gutierrez airport to pick-up the car I paid for 9-day rental The female at the rental agency had no problem finding my reservation and payment in her system Then it turned very bad She demanded that I pay almost 14 000 US dollars for insurance The car did not even cost 14 000 new When I showed her that I had already paid for the car et cetera online at the Europcar website she claimed the site was a third-party fraud site and I needed to pay her again plus the excessive amount if I wanted the car When I checked my credit card charges it clearly indicated the money went to Europcar Mexico When I called the telephone number on the invoice the female I was dealing with answered the phone When I called Europcar Customer Service the same female again answered the phone laughed at me and hung up
