Overall we had a good experience with GetLaidBeds but it was a rocky road Pros The beds are beautifully crafted and we could not find better wooden ones on the internet The delivery is very efficient and if you get them to assemble team are fast and friendly Drawers have really good storageCons We originally got a Japanese storage bed it looked great but on the back of the headboard there were exposed brackets that scratched our wall - when we complained about this we were told it was user error for putting it too close to the wall We originally got the dark stain it came in much darker than anticipated which we now see GetLaidBeds say is a riskWhen we wanted to exchange the bed for one that could go near a wall and in a different stain we had to lay out the cost for a whole new bed in advance and won t get our money back for up to 14 days after return of original bed GetLaidBeds did give us a gesture of goodwill for damage to the wall once we got to the top level of their customer service team - first level we were told nothing could be done We really love the final version of the bed we have ended up with If we could have exchanged without laying out upfront this would be 4-5 star review

I ordered a Japanese storage bed from this company in August and the hydraulic function on it broke off two months later The threading in the wood where the screw needs to go back in has broken down So now it takes two people to get into the storage part of the bed because it is so heavy without that piece functioning It is also very unsafe I have asked for support in repairing the bed and am still waiting to hear back I will update this review rating if I receive help The bed does look nice but currently it is a safety hazard Update 20 2 2023 I have been contacted by the company and have been charged 25 to schedule a repair which I think is unreasonable due to it being a faulty product rather than something I did The repair is scheduled for 2 weeks from now so will provide an update then Update 7 3 2023 The bed has been fixed and the repair people they sent were really lovely so have adjusted my rating If I were rating the repair guys alone it would be 5 stars but giving the company an overall rating of 3 for the inconvenience of having an expensive bed break so early into owning it and the admin extra charge associated with fixing it The bed had a design flaw and the repaired bed has the new more sturdy design customers shouldn t have to pay to repair design flaws

The first thing that I m going to say about Get Laid Beds is that I love the bed that I ordered Now that it s built it looks amazing the colour is great it s solidly built it s sturdy it s comfortable and the storage space underneath the bed is fabulous I ordered the ottoman storage bed with headboard However it was a pain in the rear end to build and the instructions need a little work It took me and my husband four hours to build it because it literally arrived in planks I even commented before we d unboxed it that I thought they d sent the wrong bed because none of the boxes were big enough for a headboard Two little pieces of information would really help the instructions first of all there is a right and a wrong way to put the side panels on which we only found out when we tried to fit the hinges and second of all you need to assemble the hinges before screwing them onto the bed Would I shop from Get Laid Beds again Yes I would but only when they introduce the white glove delivery service in my area which is currently not an option

This is a tale of two halves I ordered two beds a king and a double and two full size under bed storage boxes I was willing to pay for the beds to be assembled for me but it wasn t an option at my address This didn t particularly bother me as I m well used to putting furniture together The delivery went as planned and I went about assembling the beds The double bed went together just fine The king was more of a faff as some of the guide holes were in the wrong place The instructions for the king were also a bit of a mess Instructions for large beds are the same as doubles but with additional information in speech bubbles off to the side of the main instructions This isn t as clear as is should be I would strongly urge the company to employ the services of someone who specialises in writing instructions and get them to take a full review of their current manuals I got the beds together and went about assembling the under bed storage If I thought the instructions and quality control on the beds was a little lacking it didn t prepare me for the under bed storage boxes The instructions are incredibly poorly written especially concerning the slats My slats also came unlabeled which resulted in me having to undo a load of work and do it again In short buy from this company if your post code allows you to ask for them to assemble the beds for you If you are planning to assemble yourself wait for them to improve their instructions

I wish to express my surprise and consequent disappointment that I had purchased a bed that did not have a floor whereby all items sit on a persons floor and subjected to dust fluff possible damage I have got around this by using Really Useful Boxes but nevertheless I cannot insert as much as I would have hoped to I have enquired as to how much it would cost to have a floor added relative to their Bespoke claims and was advised that This will not have a floor like you say and we do not sell one I have looked again at the details but have been unable to see any product information stating this fact of the Ottoman bed not having a floor This was to be my first purchase with a second single size bed to follow But I have now decided to look elsewhere

The bed is lovely The people who delivered and assembled it Jason and CY were courteous helpful and did a good job However one thing has reduced what would have been a 5 star review to a three When the single bed was assembled I realised I would need three more slats to comply with my pocket sprung mattress guarantee I was surprised by this as the bed photos on the website show slats much closer together I rang to ask if I could order some extra slats and they wanted 55 I was happy to pay for more but I thought this was really expensive

Bed looks good but disappointed with the instructions for setting it up given the bed cost over 1000 not a premium experience Instructions didn t match exactly what needed to be done pictures were representative rather than exactly what needed to be done If I d paid a couple of hundred quid I d say it was expected but not for a premium product

Comfortable mattress Creaky bed frame Shoreditch Spacesaver Not sure how to fix this Website kept reverting back to default position as I added more items so as I ordered a king size bed frame in black wash pine then a king size mattress later the bed frame size had reverted to a single bed frame in honey pine Luckily the company noticed and confirmed that I really needed a king size bed to go with the mattress And asked for more money Will be happier if I can stop it creaking

I would recommend this company provided you don t live outside their delivery area The beds were lovely once assembled but poor packaging same code number on all the boxes despite them being two separate beds meant it was potentially a disaster Luckily we d ordered 2 different finishes but goodness knows what would have happened if they had been the same colour When I phoned to complain I was met with a yes Someone else said that a week ago Generally nice beds but poor communication means i d rather recommend a company like Bensons beds

The bed is OK but for the price I expected better However only 18 of 90 20 of the screws and screw cups were delivered I was offered next day delivery for the missing hardware which meant completion of my son s bedroom would be delayed bearing in mind everything was timed for during school half term or I could purchase the hardware myself up to the value of 10 Because there was so many missing the hardware cost 15 and additional compensation has been declined So I recommend you don t plan to build any Get Laid Beds product on the day of delivery or be prepared for a trip to screwfix and some unexpected costs frustration and admin
