Poor service

Ordered a 3 piece suite in January it was very delayed then after 6 1 2 months told that one chair had been missed off the shipment Had to really fight to get my 906 deposit back They wanted me to either take just the sofa or the sofa and 1 chair and wait for other one to be delivered I explained that the 2nd chair might be a different colour as made from a separate batch and that it might take another 6 months to come I was assured that the second chair was already made and would be within 8-10 weeks Eventually customer services investigated for me and confirmed that 2nd chair HAD NOT been made and said l was entitled to a refund I understand mistakes happen but felt l had to beg for my deposit back No apology has been given or compensation for the fact they had my deposit of 906 for 6 1 2 months and that they did not provide my order

Poor Quality

We purchased 6 dining chairs on 1st May we received these on 30th of June Unfortunately all 6 chairs contained a fault so an order was put in to replace all chairs Our 2nd delivery arrived 2nd October unfortunately there was still a fault with one of the chairs so again a new order was put in We were hoping for 3rd time lucky when the replacement chair arrived on the 16th November however to my surprise they had sent the completely wrong chair Once again a replacement order has been put in and as yet we still have not been informed of a delivery date

King Size mattress protector never arrived

Ordered a King Size mattress protector but it never arrived even after 2 weeks The courier company says it s lost so I emailed Gillies to say I want a full refund but they didn t reply Customer service is really lacking

Damaged dining room tables

We received a dining room table but it was damaged then received a replacement but this was also damaged Gillies obviously do not carry out a pre delivery check This is poor customer service Refund is being handled 79 delivery charge is also excessive

I hope it is properly fitted this time

The carpet was mis matched towards the window and cut short and unevenly around the fireplace I have had to live with it like this for six months since 19 th March I do not know why the fitter downstairs did not ask the two fitters upstairs it was clear the carpet had a pattern on it The manager Billy came to my home with an experienced fitter and could not believe Gillies had done this He reassured me Gillies would sort it The new carpet has now arrived but I had to wait six months I hope the carpet is laid in the entrance hallway and dining room to match and that my furniture and contents are moved out during the process and back again and carefully put back in the same place I will hold Gillies responsible if there is any damage and expect the team to come and view the area where the carpet is to be fitted before it is cut I will be grateful if they could do this

The chaise sofa has disappointed us

The chaise sofa we ordered has obviously been used before as the leather is wrinkled and dipped in places We have had many leather sofas over the years and have good experience of how the leather changes over time However this Chaise Sofa came with those changes already present Both seats had dips and wrinkles which would normally happen where a person would be sitting and this would not be expected to be seen on a brand new sofa

The guys that delivered the mattress

The guys that delivered the mattress seemed to struggle with knowing how to manoeuvre it up the stairs and into the room despite all access to the area being completely cleared They had a near miss with the light in the hallway Mattress delivered was ripped when we looked at the underneath we found a display sticker Very disappointing Awaiting contact from the shop regarding a resolve

With gillies you pay good money and

With gillies you pay good money and expect quality in return I recently had two items delivered and both had issues A dinning table which was obviously knowingly damaged as an attempt to silicone the damage was made The sofa has wear damage to the arm Both reported and claims made Problem being with paying a premium rate you don t expect or want repaired furniture from the offset The irony of paying 250 for a care package on a sofa that s turned up looking 10 years old isn t lost on me Throughout the process not a mention of discount or refund Spoke with the furniture manager who had an attitude and just wanted me off the phone Avoid at all costs

Very disappointed

After looking at Sofas for over a month we decided on gillies Perth mainly because it is local found the staff very helpful and not pushy It is30 years since we bought new furniture so was very disappointed in the finish of the leather very puckered in places My husband was in for delivery but he is only partially sighted Gillies has been quick to respond but have to wait until the 13 th March when someone will look at it

Delivered by another transport company

Delivered by another transport company just left in our yard not even came to our door thank goodness it was dry that day When opened was marked dirty not the service we have experienced by previous purchases delivered by own vans Was disappointed by service we received this time
