I was promised a 950KPS down load speed

I was promised a 950kps down load speed but it has in fact got only a 450kbs download speed It is more than enough for me but lower than advertised and may catch some people out if they like movie streaming or gaming

Nice instalation but download speed not as promised

I had brodband installed by Joe Howard from FOIL he ran the fibre cable from telephone pole and installed outside and inside my property as we agreed very good service The only issue I have is the download speed it is not the 900 Mbps they promised I m getting around 600 Mbps I opened a ticket with CS technical team contacted me and they believe that the ethernet cable I m running the tests CAT 5e with my laptop connected to Linksys router is not suitable for the high speed broadband and told me I should use CAT 6 cable to run the speed tests I disagreed because CAT 5e is capable to handle speeds to 1000Mbps but I ve been told to use a CAT 6 cable to run tests again and get back to them

Not happy with speed

Sajawal - installation was professional and great Sajawal was patient and did the job well Though installation was smooth but not happy with the speed as speed was promised 1gbps but it s coming around 300 mbps Also another promise was to get checked in each corner of the house and that too didn t happen

New business trying to break through but needs polish

Firstly the engineer turned up very late to install the system forcing me to take additional time off work Once here he did not offer alternative sites for the router which I specifically requested when the order was placed The fibre has not been fixed to the wall at all so I shall have to correct that I was told that the phone number would be ported over within 2 to 3 days In fact it will take 2 weeks The internet speed falls short of that advertised but is much faster than we had previously It also has areas of the house that suffers buffering or drop out which is unexpected and disappointing All in all the sales pitch was not particularly close to reality

Damaged floor

The men who came to install my router have totally ruined my Floor by dragging a heavy piece of furniture across it They then decided to talk amongst themselves in another language in front of me clearly discussing the flooring that is down I put the flooring down myself on a budget and they kept referring to this as an excuse for the damage they had caused I need this resolved ASAP I ve only just completed the floor and now it s all I can see two huge areas of damage

The jury is out

I had the Gigafast service installed 24 hours ago and the speed so far is excellent when it comes to downloading - less so on upload The install team were running two three hours late on the hottest day of year and perhaps not surprisingly seemed more intent on completing the job as fast as possible than on providing adequate information and answering questions satisfactorily so I have been left with zero paperwork and instructions The delay and weather probably didn t help their mood but the only enthusiasm they could muster was for getting me to sign upon completion and pushing me to write this review on the spot and mention their names in it both of which I would not do So far so good I have a much faster service at a slightly lower cost but the real test will be when I get problems with the service bound to happen - it s broadband after all and how customer support responds Given the negativity I am seeing on this site I am not holding my breath and so I will not be cancelling my previous supplier for a month or two

Started off great

Started off great Great prices fast broadband fast service Then a couple of glitches some apps don t work right in the network and I logged it with their customer service and had no response And more recently I ve had the network drop out all together No connection at all but this has been intermittent for about 5min at a time Not a huge deal but worth mentioning as it says something about their reliability however they are relatively new so I will give them opportunities to resolve these teething issues

Excellent service and excellent speed O lying wish they didn t have a over head cable to my property as I was with virgin which came throught the groud Much much neater

Mixed experience

The guys that came to our premises were nice and helpful However this was overshadowed by the poor customer service experience we had over our install Hey Broadband cancelled our initial install because they said we need to have a new cable trench dug to our property at a cost of approximately 900 The install process from that point was extremely slow and frustrating because we disputed the need for this work to be carried out especially as one of the earlier visits by a technician left a fibre cable rolled up on the wall of our property which had been pulled through an existing cable trench Quoted date was 30th Sept 2023 and we had final install on 10th Nov 2023 On the day the installation tech was very good clean and tidy and explained everything

Okay ish Service

Salesman offered us the option of overground and underground installation but on the day Engineer only offered unsightly overground installation They also offer 900mbs but that s for wired devices Just wish they were more transparent from the outset
