Bought a shower screen with a hinged

Bought a shower screen with a hinged door under 5 years warranty and within 1 year one of the hinges was broken I have contacted their sales support but they refused to replace the hinge instead they are asking to buy the whole swing door again disappointing

Our shower screen M1000SS-E8 Apex

Our shower screen M1000SS-E8 Apex sliding shower door clear 1000mm shattered recently without warning We was downstairs and it sounding like an explosion going off We ran upstairs and was shaken and shocked to see the devastation within our en-suite bathroom We have contacted Hudson Reed 4 days ago and are still awaiting a response We believe the item has a lifetime guarantee and would not expect this to happen after 3 5 years of installation We can not bear the thought had we been in the en-suite at the time of this happening We have noted the exact same thing happened to another review on here March 2022 and believe this is 100 a safety issue that needs to be rectified Thank god in this instance no one was hurt apart form cut hands clearing up the carnage

Wrong imagery used on site

The shower hose broke on my Topaz tap mixer - so I ordered a new one I have been sent items which do not match the images used by multiple retailers I called up to try and find out why and to get some help getting the one that matches the images only to be told they can t tell me if the design has been updated and that they wouldn t have any record of it a change has been made Update based on reply - the issue is that the image hasnt been updated so its confusing to know what item you are getting rather than anything to do with the design being changed

Topaz taps - Not fit for purpose

I purchased new Topaz basin and bath taps in March 2023 and had them fitted professionally I have a gravity hot water system so expected the hot taps to have a slow flow rate which is fine The cold taps however have a random uneven flow and splash everywhere My cold water pressure is circa 1 6 bar which is about normal in the UK and nothing unusual but when I complain via the Retailer they receive a response from Hudson Reed which in effect says it is a fault of the water pressure as the taps do not have any straightening device How can they sell taps to the UK market which clearly are not fit for purpose

Hudson Reed a new name for shockingly poor quality

Purchased a shower unit for over 650 One of the most expensive ones they had at the time Its been 2 5 years and the divertor valve has failed and I am being told that the item is discontinued and cannot get parts for it Beggars belief that a shower unit this expensive is literally fit for scrap after less than 3 years if this review had minus stars thats exactly how i would be rating this interaction with Hudson Reed

Dont be fooled by 20 year guarentee

Dont be fooled by 20 year guarentee Bought shower valve based on the 20 year headline thinking they must offer good quality products and the valve turned up with poor chrome finish and plastic chrome parts even worse chrome finish where other manufacturers would have been brass very poor quality

What five year warranty

Apparently a five year warranty for a bathroom vanity unit doesn t even last a few months and doesn t cover condensation in a bathroom I won t make the mistake of buying their products in the future They say to contact the retailer Bathshack and the retailer says they have spoken to the manufacturer and no one wants to take responsibility

Poor quality chrome waterfall bath taps

Poor quality chrome waterfall bath taps for a large price I purchased 2 chrome bath taps which are not cheap 1 has failed behind the back of the tap on a rivert which now leaks water i have emailed and sent a picture or the issue which also carries a 20 year warranty and there response is due to lack of maintenance the taps have failed there s no visible limescale but on the back the rivets have started to leak i can feel some corrosion and this is not covered by warranty Why would an expsive chrome tap corrode only poor quality

fitted one of your single outlet shower valves last week to find it is NOT pre set to showering temp it didn t come with any any paper work when i got back to the office i had to download then go back to the job mess around to set it up The cartridge dosn t just pull out it has to be un screwed ect ect NO wonder you won t put your name on ph no on packaging BUY BRITISH NOT FROM YOU

You ll never be able to fix one of these

I bought a Hudson Reed Shower panel tower shower it cost in the region of 800 It has hardly been used guest en suite and the response from HR is the most unhelpful and basic I have ever seen from a so called premium brand I have a part number told it is discontinued and cannot find it anywhere I have had way more luck getting parts for my 20 year old Hotpoint extractor fan To make the matter worse the thermostatic cartridge that needs to be replaced is impossible to get out despite having 3 professionals try it So my only option for a so called premium brand that has minimally used is to replace the whole thing Never again do not buy
