Customer for many years

Customer for many years Slowly expectations as customer gone down hill As monthly contact lenses wearer be aware they keep no records of what s sent out or records of direct debits received I ended up four months DD in Leighton profits Even blaming the customer if you want DD paused as you have too many lenses or optician wants to change your lenses they will treat your DD as new customer at much higher inflated charges They change the dispatch dates without consulting customers not competitive with cost on market eye care plan over priced too compared to competitors This is not an independent opticians anymore and customer service is shocking only got my my money back b4 I put in claim with direct debit indemnity they honestly don t want customers

Long wait despite appointment

Despite having appointment had to wait a considerably long time Not normally an issue but there was a member of staff present who didn t even acknowledge us or offer to assist apologise for the wait or anything you would come to expect from customer facing staff anywhere The appointment itself was very good just the wait and being ignored the frustration

Bit disappointing this time around

I have been using Leightons in Addlestone for some time now and have never had any issues whatsoever until my last appointment early this November I booked an eye test in the usual way and attended as normal but the atmosphere was different this time I sat down and was immediately told I wasn t due an eye test for another six months I apologised and explained that I couldn t remember the last time I d been so booked the appointment just in case I felt like a naughty little boy The eye test took place but it wasn t exactly pleasant No pleasantries no smiles no chat Not what I ve been used to in every other appointment I ve had there I was led to the receptionist who garbled my prescription details to me of which I said I would have a think about what to do next Again no niceities no smiles just the payment machine thrust upon me I left quite deflated and will probably take my prescription to a different opticians now I am not saying it was a bad experience just not what I have been used to in the past and I m also not saying any medical appointment should be a barrel of laughs but I do feel it s important to at least be made to feel welcome and crack a smile at least once
