Difficult to reach

Looking to fix a Kohler tap I found the company very difficult to get hold of I had to send 3 messages between their website form and emails When I tried to call I was transferred to some non-answering number Once finally the right person was reached by email Then everything went fine and smooth parts are being replaced under warranty good explanations non need for a plumber fast service

the engineer that came out was great

the engineer that came out was great getting past the call centre was not so great we fit a lot of Mira showers each year and it would be nice if we could simply get an engineer out when its under warranty without putting fear onto our customers that they will end up paying if its not a shower specific fault

Just had a 9 8kw Mira sport shower

Just had a 9 8kw Mira sport shower replaced as the old one was slow water pressure and the on off button had broken We have had the old one for over 10 years so it s done well I am so disappointed with the new shower as the quality is so cheap compared to the old one also the flow is better but the temperature dial is only just quarter turned and it reduces the flow quite a bit the plumber verified the pressure and said we had good water pressure The old riser rail was much better as it sat on the bar and now the new one gets in the way of the shower shelves as it sits more to the left Why are these showers made so cheap as they are expensive to buy

Low pressure

Our Mira shower a basic model finally gave up the ghost after some 17 years of excellent service Naturally we replaced it with another Mira even paid an extra 80 for an attractive upgrade model Sadly it is not as good as the old one Water pressure from the shower head is puny in comparison though did increase slightly by fitting the old original head Temperature control is very good to be fair aesthetics also but one does have the impression that one needs to run round the shower cubicle to get properly wet

This unit was bought to replace a Mira shower fitted in 2005

This unit was bought to replace a Mira shower fitted in 2005 in an upstairs family bathroom The shower performance is actually very good the flow rate and temperature are absolutely fine The only problem is the on-off button at the bottom of the unit This is a triangular shape but feels like it is held on only in the middle It needs to be pressed with two fingers one on each side If pressed in the middle if feels and looks like it s going to spring itself off and the shower doesn t turn on or off This spoils what is otherwise a really good product if it were not for this I would be happy to give this shower a 5 star rating

Electric shower not fit for purpose

Bathroom fitter recommended electric shower Intermittently needs turning on off again which is awkward in the airing cupboard as it stops working One part replaced under warranty when 4 1 2 years old then pump failed 2 months outside warranty Had to wait a couple of weeks for it to be repaired then cost me 350 Engineer great but shower not Will never have an electric shower again Our other showers have a regular more meaty pump and are far more reliable

Avoid the install service- Go local

Products are quality but let down by Mira s installation service Two failed attempts to carry out a like for like replacement Resulting in being left with no shower First attempt although not really Mira s fault earth fault they refitted the old shower in correct casing damage Second time couldn t stop a leak on the inlet manifold You would think a shower installation engineer would carry a basic supply of 15mm fittings just in case

Could do better

Bluntly it was more cost effective to replace the shower like for like than call out one of your engineers I can only hope that your 2 year warranty is worth what it covers

Replacement Shower

I originally bought a Mira Sport Max electric shower and it has been installed in a holiday lodge for no more than 4 years It was not heavily used I was really disappointed to discover that it simply stopped working and after checks by an electrician I needed to replace it Due to time constraints and not wanting to have to drill more holes into tiles I have had to replace it with the same model Hopefully this will last longer I have had a number of Mira showers over the years and this is the first to let me down The actual shower when working performs well for an electric shower I just hope that this one is more reliable
