Recent hospital claim

The claim form was straightforward but on this occasion I felt there was not enough feedback on progress of the claim which is unusual the claim was paid direct to me when on previous claims was paid direct to the small animal hospital

After a worrying time regarding health of my dog thankfully did not need the added worry of how to pay vet bill Petplan settled one of my claims in full and part of another claim Settled promptly direct with vet hospital and vet surgery April

Extortionate increase

I have the highest level of cover for my 3 dogs 2 standard poodles and 1 miniature poodle Payment for monthly treatment for my dog with Addisons disease is always paid directly back to my vet promptly and I am happy with the cover However I have received renewal documents for my miniature poodle who I have never made a claim for and the annual increase is extortionate- I m shocked

I have been with Petplan for around 2 years and only recently needed to use them The service is quick and simple and they have paid the claim immediately When speaking to customer advisors via phone they have always been helpful So far I m impressed

Once again Petplan were there when we needed them Seamless claims process instigated by the vet completing the electronic claim form without me having to do anything Claim was approved in full and in my bank within a week of the treatment Very fast and easy If only it was more affordable it would be 5 stars Renewal increases are bordering on extortion with double digit percentage rises nearly every year My dog costs nearly 3 times the cost of my car to insure

The insurance claim was so simple

The insurance claim was so simple it was all handled by the veterinary practice no forms no hassle and all paid promptly However the sting in the tail is that we now have to pay 20 of the total claim plus the excess which makes the claim much more expensive

A seamless and easy process

I had already paid for our dogs treatment and then found that our policy with Petplan would cover her current and ongoing treatment I was subsequently reimbursed the correct proportionate amount It was all pretty seamless and I was impressed with the process

Great service but expensive when your pet gets older

Excellent service in dealing with reclaim However had a surprise with this year s renewal on our covered for life policy when my dog turned 10 years old and there was suddenly a 20 contribution payable on any claims on top of the standard excess

Peace of mind is priceless

Clear process to follow and mypetplan is great to follow progress only thing that could be better would be the notification re closure text which just says that I ll hear more shortly That s what delayed feedback as wanted to make sure claim was processed Also not sure how continuations work on a closed claim as two vets dealing with the same illness which is ongoing currently so more related claims to come Good value for money as you can t put a price on your pet s wellbeing and your peace of mind

Petplan processed my claim very quickly and over Christmas The only reason for 4 is that the portal doesn t state clearly how long the payment will take once the claim is closed I m sure it s hidden somewhere but with totally online transactions you want the important stuff upfront and explicit Overall though a quick and easy process with quick response times Thanks Petplan
