Bought a RAB downpour eco a while back

Bought a RAB downpour eco a while back and only just gotten around to using it recently Absolutely terrible product soaked within 10 minutes Contacted RAB but they are just telling me to go to retailer who also do not want to know Awful awful company with poor service over rated gear My decathlon 7 quid water proof is better

Do NOT use their cleaning service Rab Wash

This review is about Rab Wash Rab s cleaning service I do NOT recommend using Rab Wash AT ALL it took them 6 weeks to send my down jacket back whereas it takes my local dry cleaner s Johnson s 1 day to do exactly the same service and for the same cost That is FOURTY-TWO times SLOWER I regret sending it to them and never will again Their customer service is also poor they can t respond to emails at all and knowing what s going on is very difficult unless you phone Why so many people send their clothing back to them to wash I do not understand

2 coats in 2 years because the valiance

2 coats in 2 years because the valiance isn t waterproof and the down pools Customer service takes days to get back to you on email and they turn their phones off during the day Sent the coat back to get it washed and reproofed twice and twice it came back no better When it takes 2 weeks for the coat to be sent off and returned and costs 33 and the coat costs 300 things begin to not add up Terrible and stressful experience with awful customer service Don t get me wrong the warranty is great and to replace a coat is really good But when it takes months to arrange whats the point because all that time you don t have a coat

Expensive mistake

Rab cindr come apart at the seams Shop refused to do anything other than send it back even though it was 12 weeks old and cost 240 Contacted RAB who said because they are saving the planet they repair stuff to save resources Send it to them who ended up replacing it They are so concerned about the environment it came in a plastic bag you know the plastic bags are are destroying the earth Poor quality terrible customer service and they threw on a condescending patronising attitude just to complete the package

Ordered a RAB ascent jacket and it

Ordered a RAB ascent jacket and it stated that orders before midday would be delivered the next day I made the purchase on this basis and after paying receiving the email by 11 55am I ve sat in all day and not received the jacket Monday I have an appointment and needed the jacket for it Not at all happy won t be buying from them ever again

Over 200 Rab repair costs in 15 months

I am very disappointed with my Rab down jacket I bought a MYTHIC ULTRA DOWN JACKET Very expensive priced at over 450 Yes it is light and they are warm But the outer material is extremely thin the jacket is constantly getting rips and holes I constantly have to send the jacket to the Rab repair service - After only 15 months I have spent over 200 on Rab repairs That is not acceptable for this price range When I give a negative review of my Rab jacket on the Rab website and describe the problems including photos the Rab service writes an email to my address and asks for more photos - I reply to this email but my email cannot be sent to Rab because the Rab email is incorrect or not specified or an email server is connected in between My negative review is not published on the Rab website You only see positive reviews I think Rab sorts out negative reviews --- I ll say it again and it s the truth The MYTHIC ULTRA DOWN JACKET is not suitable for mountaineers climping The price for this jacket is too high Poor material too thin This jacket tears very quickly and constantly gets holes It s a jacket for city shopping Tours in the winter time definitely not suitable for nature climbing and mountains This winter I had to send the jacket to Rab 2x for repairs That s not acceptable Over 200 repair costs for a 450 jacket in 15 months - that s not acceptable I ll never buy a jacket from Rab again AND the last Rab repair on my jacket took a long time over 4 weeks 1 repair was good 1 repair was bad work I had to start a new repair order immediately Directly after returning Over 4 weeks of waiting and now I have to send it back for repair That s totally crazy But what can I do nothing At Rab repairs you can see the difference between the original material and the repair material I don t think Rab repairs use 100 the same color material graphene They use a similar gray That s not great I m 60 satisfied with Rab repairs But not 100

Beyond disappointed

Beyond disappointed I have been a loyal Rab customer for many years I replaced a waterproof jacket that was stolen with a Downpour Eco jacket Whoever dreamt up that name is having a joke The first time I wore it in the rain I was soaked I sent pictures and the jacket back and was told it did not let water in when they tested it Again it happened and my underwear was soaked I have lost complete faith in Rab and will not be buying anything else from them

Will not recommend rab

We purchased two jackets 420 on the description given on the website Sadly this was misleading as the jackets do not keep us warm in normal activities Customer services were contacted with the solution being keep them and wear them in the spring and summer Hardly mountainous conditions Waste of money will never buy or recommend rab

I received a RAB jacket for Christmas

I received a RAB jacket for Christmas but a few of the zip strings were missing not a big issue initially I reached out to RAB s customer service to request replacements but they wanted to charge me for them I provided proof of recent purchase by sending the tags yet they still haven t sent the zip strings This has been dragging on for almost a month now which feels like very poor customer service Why can t they simply send out the replacements For a brand that markets itself as high-quality this is quite disappointing I have 3 RAB jackets but I dont think I will buying from them again

Caveat Emptor

I found out about 60 days after I purchased the jacket that the zipper didn t work I didn t try the zipper until then-just checked for fit before winter arrived I tried to call RAB seven times during their stated business hours by phone and got the message to try back later as no one was available I wrote to them instead and got an immediate response which was to send the jacket in at my expense and if it was clean enough they charge 25 for a cleaning fee if it isn t then they will consider whether they would help me out or not Essentially they do not honor their warranty I was expecting them to ask for the old jacket back in exchange for a new one or a refund but got the runaround instead BTW when I replied to their email with these concerns I got no reply needless to say very unsatisfactory I d get better customer service at Wal Mart
