Luara Wing interim rating

This is an interim rating because Laura is dealing with my dissatisfaction with another concierge Her latest email to me requests that I review her performance so far Here goes Laura is clearly on the ball and is seeking to establish what actually occurred during my booking by listening to tapes of phone calls reading emails I am very happy to proceed in this way as I am a long-term satisfied customer of Six Star and trust the investigation will be fair However it may take up to 4 Weeks I have found her to sound very efficient but with a somewhat challenging defensive tone I will happily give another review if requested once my issues with this booking have been resolved to the satisfaction of both sides

Cruising the Rhone with Avalon

Laura was knowledgeable and our booking went fine At most moorings we were flanked by other ships so you couldn t enjoy the views very often I can t say that I d recommend the Rh ne as an interesting river to sit on top deck enjoy the different views as you sail along There were many locks Be aware of exactly what Active Holiday means Avalon staff cabins food as always were excellent

Shirley has been great and very helpful The cruise was very average in all areas The weather was pretty bad most of the time making it difficult to see places A protest stopped us docking in a French port and rough seas prevented us from going to shore by tender Food was very sameish with not much variation The ship was very dated Our carpet was badly stained All in all not a good experience many regular Regent passengers said they were disappointed

Six Star Cruises were helpful but

Six Star Cruises were helpful but slightly less so when the Cruise was already booked Oceania has become more commercial since we were last with them Marina is a lovely ship but the 500 more passengers than on their smaller ships showed in that service was slower in places Other irritations exorbitant cost of ship s tours Need to produce key card for every glass of wine Lack of any enrichment or destination guide lectures inadequate shuttle service at La Rochelle Overall disappointed In future opting for genuine All inclusive

Avalon and 6 star cruises were superb

Avalon and 6 star cruises were superb What ruined the cruise for us was not getting 2 of our cases until the 6th day

Rebooking a cancelled cruise

Sandie has taken us over after my inital latest contact with Six Star Like everyone stuck with a cruise booking during the coronavirus sorting out the refund side cannot be easy bit at long last I think we are there togethr with a no-fly booking on Regent next year it all seems like plain sailing now - just keep your fingers crossed So far thanks Sandie

Excellent very helpful and prompt

Rebooking a cancelled cruise Lines are very busy and one day it took 65 minutes to get through Difficulty is there is no direct lines to the person you are dealing with However we got there in the end and are happily rebooked I m sure it is a difficult time for the concierge s with non-stop calls anxious customers and emails to deal with I will say our concierge remained calm and amiable throughout
