Ignore their denomination pledge

If you actually want small notes then supposedly you need to email them telling them rather than just clicking on the small notes option they have on the website Specifically went with them as they advertise providing the denomination you want - despite requesting small denomination notes for a 300 order I received a vast majority of 20 notes Why they bother with the request option I don t know A hassle as now I need to go into a high street store to get low denomination notes for tipping on my holiday Aside from the blatant lying and massive inconvenience they did send the money quickly So if you don t mind about the denomination of notes then I d recommend them - however the whole selling point for me was the ability to specify low denomination notes

Would not use this company again

First time I have used this company to order currency I have given 2 stars only Ordering on line with a bank transfer was easy communication was good the currency arrived on time and was the correct amount so all good there The condition of some of the notes was poor some notes had numbers in ink on them 2 notes had someone s signature imprinted in ink on them lots of notes had very worn security holograms almost worn away Knowing that some countries will not accept defaced notes especially with ink writing on them I may end up going to a bank to try to change them whilst away I would not use this company again Update after reading your reply I did not see an option for new notes on your website so my mistake for missing that Yes you offered for me to return the notes at a cost of 12 so no thank you if I get a problem in my destination I will exchange them in a bank at no extra cost

Old dirty torn notes -

Seemed well reviewed and good rate offered Money arrived old dirty stained and many torn Explained I would not be able to use the currency USD in the country I was travelling to Cambodia as they are very particular about the quality of the notes and quite honestly I had never even considered receiving such poor quality notes from a currency exchange I emailed and asked for help to be told I could return the damaged notes at my cost and that the notes were legal tender which means nothing in reality as tender is what anyone or no-one will accept and I should have told them I had special requirements - such as intact clean notes Bit of a joke of a company and would not use again as quality of currency and customer service is so poor

Good exchange rate but

Good exchange rate and the website was easy to use however they were late posting my currency and it was therefore a day late arriving meaning I had to take another day off work to be at home to receive it Be warned

currency did not arrive still no refund a month on

Ordered and paid for currency which never arrived Emailed currency club who said it was royal mail and now waiting on royal mail to conduct an investigation that will take in excess of a month due to the severity Great so I m a grand out of pocket Lucky I have other funds available to get another batch of dollars but not everyone is in that fortunate position which makes me boil in situations like this Currency club should be refunding me then pursuing royal mail as my contract order was with them they then subbed delivery out to royal mail who we all know are useless antiquated so it was their error not mine

Banking issue

Have used the currency club many times and have never had a problem However this time using their banking system to pay it stopped half way through and said contact my bank No money was taken and no confirmation e mail for currency was received Ah hour later I paid for my euros directly through my bank and all worked OK and conformation e mail received However the next day a second payment was taken the original one where it said contact your bank To get my money back I have had to pay a 20 pound fee I believe it was not my fault If you have a similar issue I would wait 24 hours before re ordering

Let down by poor delivery service

Very good to deal with on the website but there is a minimum 300 amount Good rates too However the package was not delivered on schedule the following working day despite being Royal Mail Special Delivery and when I reported the failure Currency Club admitted that they were using a third party delivery service which had failed Eventually turned up the following day with the ordinary post and I never even had to sign for it

Waste of Time Requesting Small Denominations

Order arrived on time but all in large denominations I ordered Egyptian 50 notes but received all in 200 notes Also followed this up with an email prior to delivery to confirm - Small Notes Waste of time putting in a request They are obviously too lazy to do the extra counting Have followed up with an email so will be interested to see if they reply and resolve
