No Equality in Policy
I have booked a flight only to realize after 5 hrs That if I had booked one day later it would have been better flight times and much cheaper too I called Transavia who advised me that I cannot cancel the booking within 24hrs and I could definitely not receive a refund for the airfare difference as it was 80 euro cheaper They advised that they can make the change without a refund OK however what angers me with this is if there was a price difference more expensive in their favor They write everywhere that it must be paid but when it s the other way around they will not refund hmmm How come I ask where is the fairness in this policy I ask as there does not seem to be any equality or fairness Human resources hmmm Overall the airline is not bad and i will continue to keep flying with them

Areas could be improved
Flew to Bulgaria with my partner The leg room was tight for me I m only 5 4 but it was hellish for my partner 6 9 but that was to be expected with a budget airline The staff were always friendly towards us On the way back we experienced food poisoning not from the airline and the staff were very kind to us to offer us assistance with extra sick bags and checking up on us Would have been nice if they would have offered us some water to calm our stomach

Impossible law requirement the customer pays
I must admit I was pretty much satisfied so far I know it s low budget company so one cannot expect the same level of service and ticket policy as KLM but when the pcr test requirement came into effect in the NL from 29th December I thought maybe in this case they would be more flexible with refund since it s nearly impossible to get a result and have it translated in 72 hours from where I am flying from but nope my ticket is wasted Government law customer pays

My luggage was lost in Schiphol probably not even boarded in the flight After more than one day no news of the luggage If i had to throw it i didn t need to pay 50 euros extra Customer service is a joke they are unreachable by phone no chat possible airport doesn t pick up the phone All service is automated to the point you have no service Hopefully i will be refunded But given the current situation i have some doubts I will update this review only when my luggage is found Flight AMS JTR 2 september 5 45 AM JTRHV10183 02SEP22 0936GMTUpdate great news 5 September after 3 days luggage is in Santorini airport Arranging independently a transport to other destination where i am now located Update 9 September finally got it transport further than first destination airport could not be arranged via transavia i had to send someone to pick up the luggage and ship it further

Unreachably customer service dep
Awful customer service Cancels the flight and no response via email chat phone in order to arrange other flight Very bad experience so far Update after 3 days calling non stop we have managed to talk to CS The requested change more expensive and different route was accepted without any issue However the waiting time to get in touch is really bad No response on Whatsapp or Social media channels

Good airline as long as you don t need to change your flight or contact customer service for another reason
Transavia s onboard crews are excellent However I got an unwelcome surprise when I changed the date of an upcoming flight I was expecting a 50 fee but it ended up being about 150 to change it This is because they charge 50 for each leg of the flight plus a bunch of fees I couldn t understand I had hoped to use their Frequent Flyer program Flying Blue but it s useless After following the directions being dragged around in circles and getting nowhere I ve given up on ever getting frequent flyer miles from Transavia I m not sure why they even claim to reward you for flights when the system is dysfunctional All it does is waste the customer s time Likewise it s a great airline when everything goes smoothly But if I need to contact customer service it s a lottery Some of their employees are smart knowledgeable and helpful others are not

Lack of friendliness of the cabin crew
Nothing wrong with the flight however the lack friendliness of the cabin crew is typical on this flight The stewardesses seem to have fun among each other but they were just rude against the passengers
