Oxford Branch Would be nice to get a thank you from staff when purchasing something as a customer or did I just catch them on a bad day don t think so Or are they only interested in customers buying big ticket items Now I know why I avoid running shops like this and buy everything online It s cheaper and I don t have the stress of poor customer service and completely disinterested staff

Ordered shoes in good faith and said in stock at a great sale price Wait over a week only to get an email saying we no longer have stock and you are getting a refund I was happy to wait Just to add salt to the wound they are now back in stock at the full price and after contacting customer support they wouldn t honour the original sales price and offered a measly 10 discount

Wanted a larger water bottle for longer runs Liked the idea of the carry pouch and bottle together The bottle is good and I can drink from it easily the pouch can hold snacks but not really my phone The pouch handle is poor quality the fabric is rough there is a pull strap which does not hold the pouch handle we have stitched the two together and I have altered my grip to avoid the fabric but its not great

Order placed Friday not sent out until following Thrsday- very slow delivery as when finally sent used a 24hour service

I received numerous gift vouchers over Christmas and following a birthday Tried to spend them on the website and it was infuriating Just didn t work Ended up ringing but the process felt a little unprofessional and I was worried about passing my card details to the operator Anyway turns out I needn t have worried Goods arrived a little slowly but happy with the order

Bought 2 pairs of Brooks Revel 4 One for myself which are amazing good fit and no issues The second pair was for my dad but the shoes didn t fit well and were quite small He s UK13 and actually has a pair of the same shoes but different colour and they fit perfectly Unfortunately the ones we got from UP RUNNING are the same size but smaller Otherwise great delivery and communication

Good selection of shoes but the sales assistant was pushy so I left and bought in my own time online

The staff were fantastic I loved the choice of trainers and the personalised friendly expert advice which was provided readily However the atmosphere in the shop is terrible it s the gloomiest sports shop for one reason there is a policy of no music apparently at the orders of Up Running head office when I enquired Seriously it makes walking into the shop a little uncomfortable and could make browsers feel self-conscious tip-toeing around in the silence It s something I never realised before could be an issue because quite frankly all sports shops maybe all shops have background music and you don t notice it until it s gone Not sure why they have chosen to ban music but they really should reconsider I can t imagine how many people have shortened their browsing time because of the uncomfortable silence in the shop For many of us buying running shoes is an ordinary task but there must be many customers or first time runners who feel a bit intimidated by the prospect of beginning running and going into a shop to be asked about their level of experience Another thought I can t imagine how grim it must be working on the floor of a shop like that We all know what it s like when you re having a day that s dragging music can really carry you through

There is a marked difference between the online web site and the store experience I have to give 3 stars as a mix between the 5 star review for Nottingham store helpfulness and the rubbish experience on the website Nottingham Up and Running Store5 stars - I spoke to a guy who answered the phone about buying a pair of trainers for my daughter remotely as I don t live near her His advice and helpfulness was superb and the conclusion was it was probably better for her to go in to their store Discussed gift vouchers as a way forward but cannot be purchased from the store and neither do they sell trainers online Any online Up and Running website purchases cannot be taken back to store Web SiteZero stars - After searching all over the web site for quite some time it is not obvious where the gift vouchers are if they exist Still cannot see them and there is no ready support contact to say where to look for them either Really disappointed so will probably have to try to purchase elsewhere now

Colour wasn t what I ordered Royal mail sent two messages yesterday giving me 2 different delivery slots neither of which happened Finally arrived today On a positive note I happen to love Brooks shoes
