A very unpleasant experience
I used to buy from them since 2009 with no problems in their last auction of the 3rd April 2024 they rejected my registration to bid so I sent them many messages and emailed them without getting any response I thought there might be a technical problem in communicating with them so I registered under my name but with a new email and in the live auction they blocked me from bidding so I called them to know what the problem is a lady said a few words about rejecting me from bidding then hang up the phone I called again and she hang up the phone again I was really upset so I sent a couple of emails to personnel s in their auction whom I used to contact them directly before when I was a Good buyer and again no response I ve been buying from a very well known auctions from all over the world for decades and never had this kind of disrespect before they never bothered themselves even to inform me what the problem is or to sort things out if there were any after all these years of dealing with them a very unpleasant experience a very unprofessional customer service I ve ever had Updated after your reply I have never ever received any reply from your side either by email or a message since the initial decline of my registration and never been verbally abusive in my phone call the phone calls were after rejecting me to bid live online I was just asking politely why It s a shame that you call me out on something I didn t do just to defend yourselves

Sellers Beware
All the other poor reviews about Warwick Warwick are Spot on I just wished that I had read the reviews first and not trusted their reputation I wasted 3 months of my time and the entire experience ended up affecting my mental health I entrusted W W with 7 500 worth of my solid silver proof and uncirculated coins which we agreed from the onset that Warwick Warwick would give me a current valuation of my extensive collection prior to me agreeing In placing my huge collection in their auction We never discussed estimates and I also never received any valuation for my items instead they loaded my collection into 10 lots with values that were less than a 1 8th of the silver value onto Warwick Warwick website Clearly from what I have seen they could not be bothered to actually do what they promised to do for me or are they just not interested in getting the right results for sellers To me seeing W Ws storage area they seem to be like Supermarket Chain it s all about volume sell cheap but sell a lot and that s how they make their money Is this how they do business Is this how they show their value to customers I questioned their blatant laziness in not bothering to follow the protocol agreed or do the valuations that they promised they would do for me Without the valuations how could I decide if I wanted to place my extensive collection in their June Auction I was told by W W that they always place very low values for items placed in their auctions as to draw Interest Yet they also give very low reserves in the items in their auction all this without the owner been aware of and also no protection for the sellers Besides the low reserves they could also sell the items less 10 so if the buyers are not there my items would be given away for peanuts Then give W W a further 20 in commission so who really loses out I do This is the first time I have ever come across this sort of behaviour from an auction house In the one of the lots of silver proof coins with a silver value of over a 1 000 there was also one coin worth over 800 at Auction value on its own not to forget the 5 other booklet full of other valuable coins there were banknotes in with the same lot with values in the 1 000s that were not even mentioned yet included with a an Auction value of 200 and a reserve set by them of 180 Make sense does it My question to them was what if W W don t have the buyers there on the day and my coins are given away to someone for a bargain of a lifetime and I lose out YES Don t be fooled don t get caught out The rudeness and way I was treated by the man that seems to be repeatedly mentioned in all reviews seems to me to be the same person All of this just makes it clear to me they work on volumes and just don t have the item or the interest to actually value a person items and or maybe do not have the time or the skills to value the items maybe they thought because I am in a wheelchair disabled Autistic that I am ignorant and stupid as well Well I am not I have an IQ of 145 Since going to collect my items I had my banknotes valued according to the man and Warwick Warwick they were common and they see a lot of them and are worth very little i just had them valued in the 1 000sThe One small American silver Indian head coin at over 800 that was not even mentioned or said to have any value You make your mind up for yourself but please make sure you make the right choice where you take your items to be sold I certainly will be in future Update 8 JuneLet me correct just one point senior valuer spent a considerable amount of time talking you through the auction process I do not know who this person was or when this supposedly happened but if they are referring to the male who packed all my items into boxes which took the bulk of the time and then gave me documents to sign and promised to send me the valuations first this took only a few seconds to do as I directed out of the building Process What process I am still in the dark as to what they actually did in nearly 3 months that W W had my items where are the valuations Do they actually know how to value items Just a question As I have no valuation after my items spent nearly 3 months with Warwick Warwick The Director of Warwick Warwick who met me when I collected my items and called me this week begging me to take my reviews off these review platforms seems to have forgotten that she said she was taking my experiences seriously apologised and would address them internally I am truly happy that I got my items out of their grubby hands before they sold and I lost a lot of money Allowing sellers to go through the same repeated issues again and again and not addressing the issues they have must be a red flag to all Insulting a persons Disability Autism by highlighting the number of edits they make is shocking and disgraceful

Bad experience
I decided to drop off my late father s cigarette cards to Warwick and Warwick auction house in February 2023 I left 8 boxes rated into different price ranges as I spent a year researching what was what I was told to leave them and to sign a piece of paper as proof I was told it would take 6 weeks for the valuation as staff were on holiday After 7 weeks I had heard nothing so decided to make contact This was the start of my bad experience I was fobbed off with they hadn t even looked at it and would now rush it through I left it a further week and made contact again I was now told my valuation was posted out a couple of days ago and should be with me any day I waited and waited but nothing so rang again By the way when you ring you speak to someone who tells you they are not at their desk right now and they will pass on your message this never happens You have to chase up any calls yourself throughout the day this goes for emails to So I informed them my valuation had not arrived and was told it was probably lost in the post They was going to send it out again so I waited like before until another week had passed still no valuation I m now up to 10 weeks since I dropped off my collection So I rang again usual stuff someone will ring you back but they don t I tell them my story Now they are going to send it via email instead of carrier pigeon I was horrified when my valuation arrived via email They valued the collection at a pitiful 1500 According to the Murrays catalogue it was valued at 30 000 When questioned I was told its a dying market and they they do this for a living meaning I didn t know what I was talking about which on their part they are only assuming as they didn t know my knowledge on cigarette cards It gets worse I said to them they are way off with their valuation as I d even took it to a dealer who had written books on cards and he had offered me 8000 and he wants to make a profit on them Also when I said I am coming up to get them I was told they have been logged to go into auction I said they can t do that as I hadn t given permission I was told that s the paper I signed which wasn t true I said I want them out of the auction ASAP as I hadn t given permission I had 2 sets in the collection which was the jewles of the collection both valued at about 6000 each and they never even included them in the lots which were going to auction which suggests they never even really looked at what i had To attract buyers surely you would list the two most valuble sets in the auction The whole experience has left me totally angry that a company like Warwick and Warwick would treat your valuables like this I am now off to the London cigarette card company who know what they are doing

Took in an inherited stamp collection
Took in an inherited stamp collection to be valued First impressions should of told me to walk away The place was scruffy dirty messy and customer items of value where dumped in reception Any one could rummage through stuff as they were all unsecure and open boxes of stamps where by the customer seating area We did our own research to give us a guideline of value for our collection We got told 4-8 weeks to value because of staff shortage which was OK then imi signed a form abd our collection got dumped in a tatty battered amazon box and put aside i asked for the box to be sealed and was told it will be when the goods are boked in We then Nievely left Afew days later this was bothering me so I rang and was told our items are still unsecure and in reception Not happy at this point so the valuator said he would secure the goods and put them safe 4 1 2 weeks later I rang for progress update to be advised they are working on items brought in from mid December Ours was taken in 12 1 23 He said he would que jump our collection and send out a valuation That was only a few days ago Today 11 2 23 I received a letter of valuation DISGUSTED with what I saw I tried ringing but no one answered They value our collection at TEN POUNDS in the collection we have two mint unused penny black stamps along with many many more We are NOT experts but Our research valuation was roughly 2500 so where TEN POUNDS came from who knows I am collecting I DO NOT BELIEVE MY COLLECTION WAS EVEN LOOKED AT I believe they just wanted it gone and had no intention of valuing it NOT RECOMMENDED NOT TRUSTED Thankfully i counted all the items in our collection and took photos of everything I have a feeling there will be issues upon collection DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR VALUATIONS Should I encounter issues upon collection I will not hesitate in leaving another review

Lack of response
Despite sending e-mails and receiving 2 x replies promising to provide the requested information regarding a collection of model Royal Trains no information has been forthcoming This lackadaisical attitude prevented me from bidding Customer Service sadly lacking

Really unhappy with a service provided
Really unhappy with a service provided by Warwick and Warwick extremely bad communicational skills They have had the items for over six months told me and my sister that the items were going to be in the 24th of January auction didn t hear anything back from them so after 20 days I called them and ask what has happened with the sale to find out that they had made mistake and the items are now going to be in the 20th of March auction the items have now sold been waiting for payment since then had to call them again today to find out when the payment was going to be then told me that it s 30 days after the auction what doesn t make much sense because the person who s buying the items only has seven days to pay so that means that they ve had the money for 23 days before they issue it Just been one thing after another with them one massive headache and disappointment

Not a happy bunny at all
Further update 2 Jan 24 revised MY rating back to 1 star which I THINK is warranted by the feeble attempt to supress my feedback by W W After initially agreeing to put stamps into auction see 12 Dec update below they retrospectively demanded that I remove my initial comments or they wouldn t proceed to auction The stamps are now back with me arranged at 8 50 EVRI as opposed to their 15 quote thankfully this whole sorry episode is now behind me I have ALL the correspondence recordings not just the selective retrospective one attached here by W W Needless to say I won t be needing a bargepole any time soon Be careful it cost me just under 20 for this wasted experience carriage to fro Original comments Spoke on phone beforehand - told me than just one of my stamps was probably worth 150 Sent the album in Offer for ALL the stamps 80 Promised to send back the album but still waiting for an estimate Parcelforce to return 12 Dc 23 REVISED to 3 star from 1 star after some positive interface with W W My original comments rating were based upon info from W W to hand at the time which DID NOT include telling me about the replica After learning that I ve subsequently agreed to let W W auction the remainder of the collection at the estimated valuation I ll review whether a further revision up down is merited after the eventual auction

Bored and disinterested with valuations so wrong I still can t believe it A shocking experience
As an executor I became responsible for model railway items all brand new in box I rang this auction house as they purport to be experts in this field The response I got was at best disinterested Having explained there were 3 new engines and about 30 new trucks and with my experience I had an idea what these Bachmann products were worth I was told that the tank engines would fetch about 9 and the tender engine about 12 If I cared to bring them in they d look at them and possibly make me an offer in 4 to 6 weeks Throughout the representative I talked to was utterly bored and disinterested I queried what he sid but he was adamant For the record each of the tank engines fetched 68 and the tender engine 47 on eBay DON T TRUST THIS AUCTION HOUSE THE SERVICE THEY OFFER SEEMS TO BE WAY OFF THE MARK VALUATIONS SHOULDNT BE THIS WRONG

Very disappointed customer
Several months ago I ve sent them 3oz 22ct gold coin from my collection Some time later I ve received the valuation which was approximately 700 below the scrap value of the coin This was truly unbelievable soI ve phoned them and asked how is that possible Eventually we agreed to set the price about 600 above the scrap value The coin didn t sell and they again insisted on putting it up for sale for far less than the scrap value Eventually I ve decided to get the coin back and I paid for the service After that nobody even bothered to inform me about shipping the coin or what the tracking number was If you think that s acceptable good luck with your valuables
