bad service and expensive
It was a decent service until this week rate increase flat fees in more than 50 that was told to costumers hidden in a newsletter starting with covid safety measures a way to make the increase less noticeable a total disgrace in ethics and in their respected to the client if you want a car with a decent level of battery you have to pick a taxi or ran across the city to get it battery levels in the app are deceiving and new app update doesn t work very well

There was no indication either on the app nor at the airport where to park Once arrived at the airport T1 Barajas in Madrid found it hard to find the right place specifically indicated for Zity cars Short of time before departure found out I had to part in other remote access parking All in all has been charged twice 7 airport charge and the company refused to make a refund As it usually happens my claims were ignored

No profile after a week
Last week I signed up for a handful of vehicle-sharing apps ALL of them took a couple of hours to verify my documents and I could start using them immediately Zity after almost a WEEK is still making me run circles with my documents I uploaded all the requested docs from the app and nothing after a couple of days I had to call customer service and they told me oh yes we also need the ID the driving license is not enough When I told them the onboarding of the app did not ask me for it they replied we don t know what to say send it via email to us Well okay whatever I send the docs in png format which is being universally recognized and accepted hoping to get a quick turnaround After 2 days I get an email saying they need the pictures in jpeg format The onboarding experience is A JOKE Every competitor on the planet even the local ones is making it effortless I truly don t know why I m still dealing with this company

Extremely bad company that is managed
Extremely bad company that is managed extremely poorly If something happens while you rent one of their cars be extremely careful as the company will not help you at all Also remember not to forget something inside the car cause then it s very likely it will not be there anymore Had a very unpleasant experience myself where the staff was even invoked in it The car rental owners seem to be more trustworthy that the company itself

Nearly all the cars are broken
Nearly all the cars are broken In one trip today we experienced - first car a dead battery app showed 23 percent - second car a complete flat tire broken mirror and disgusting interior- third car had 5 warning lights telling us to stop the car immediately We ignored it as we were way too late for our appointment The week before we found a car with a weed sigarette and the biggest splat of spit on the floor I ever encountered

We live in Paris and zity is our best
We live in Paris and zity is our best private option and we indeed feel very lucky for this service While there are hiccups finding then unlocking the cars the biggest drawback are the vandals who destroy zity cars Prying into them destroying mirrors ripping out locks sun visors and glove compartments writing graffiti on the interior roof windows smashed etc etc Destruction for its own deranged sake For a car that is intended to be climate friendly it s hard to understand why the police are not watching and protecting zity cars as they do the average parked car on the streets WE would call the police instantly why don t others
