Steer clear of Adocar Rentals to avoid disappointment
We hired a car from Adocar Rentals though a broker called Discover Car Hire Whilst they are cheap I would strongly avoid them as you will be disappointed with the car and will probably end up with additional charges for one thing or another Please see my experience below Confirmation no FS-DC-1035129Package code INCLUSIVEBooking number DC-1035129We hired a car through your website Discover Car Hire and had a number of issues with the car hire company Adocar 1 The car we chose from your website from Adocar offered a free additional driver Unfortunately I had forgotten my driving licence but my wife had hers When we arrived at Adocar they told us we could not hire the car with my wife as the only driver without paying an additional 40 00 I am sure there are many circumstances where the person booking the car and giving their credit card details either cannot drive or does not want to drive and another person does so in their place We were told to either pay or they would drop us back at the airport and so we had no choice 2 A car was then brought out and we proceeded to check it over It took about 20 minutes as there were so many scratches and dents in it When we finally got into the car to drive away we found that one of the rear seatbelts did not work where my 9 year old son was sitting We informed the manager and was told there was no legal requirement for rear seatbelts to be worn I find this hard to believe and told him we needed a car where all the seatbelts worked 3 A second car was brought out and we proceeded to check it over This was in a worse condition than the first with may more scratches and dents as well as a cracked light on the car We then noticed that one of the number plates was missing We asked the manager and he said the police had removes it from the vehicle due to it being illegally parked by the previous renter and that it would be no problem We doubted this and asked him what we should do if the police stop us and try to fine us for the previous parking violation He said just give them the other registration plate It does not seem realistic that we would be allowed to drive around with one plate let alone no plates There were no other cars to offer us so we had to take this one All through the holiday we were on edge when driving expecting to be pulled over for only having one plate particularly as we had to cross a police check point every day 4 The fuel policy of the car we hired was supposed to be full to full The car we were given had less than half a tank of petrol in it When we returned it we had over half a tank of petrol but the manager still tried to apply a surcharge saying there was not enough petrol in it We had to bring him back out to the car to prove our point All in all our experience of Adocar was very poor Only the man who picked us up from the airport could be commended for his politeness and helpfulness We are particularly unhappy about being charged 40 when my wife had a valid driving licence and hope you can do something about this and the other grievances we have

WORST COMPANY EVER NO SHAME
ZERO STARS DO NOT RENT A CAR WITH THIS COMPANY They will not let you take the car without purchasing their insurance They didn t want to give me the car because they said my insurance from the Credit card company wouldn t cover any damages they Required a signed letter from the bank on the benefits I called my bank and provided the letter and they still did not accept it When asked to show me what model of a the letter they accepted they didn t have any At the end the branch manager basically told me that their bosses INSTRUCT THEM to not accept any insurance other than theirs to make money They literally will take you to another car company and not give you the car When finally purchasing their insurance and getting the car one of the staff members told me they intentionally leave out bumps and scratches AGAIN INSTRUCTED BY THE OWNERS he was very nice and told me to take a video of the entire car for my own proof Sure enough when bringing back the car I didn t say anything about the video just to see what they would come up with The other branch manager pointed out THREE scratches that were NOT THERE WHEN WE GAVE YOU THE VEHICULE I let her talk a bit without mentioning the video and she went on saying that she couldn t do anything that there was not proof on the documents I signed etc When I pulled out the video and showed her the three scratches she was completely stunned and apologized I travel a lot and have had bad experiences around the world with rentals BUT THIS ONE WAS JUST THE WORST THEY HAVE NO SHAME

Do NOT rent from Adocar
Do NOT rent from Adocar Just trust me on this one It doesn t matter if they are 20-40 cheaper than others They charged me for insurance even though I provided my credit card insurance chase sapphire Not only did I mentioned it but I had a copy of my benefits for them to review how it fits the third party liability that they require Their rationale was that they needed it printed and stamped by chase which we all know is impossible This place is a trap They mentioned insurance was 15 day and then they overcharged me more than that without explaining the breakdown per day Also they charged me in usd even though I wanted to pay in pesos because they had an inflated exchange rate They re just trying to take as much money from you FIND ANY OTHER RENTAL CAR COMPANY

They did not show up still are trying to charge us
They did not show up We got to the pick up location at Cancun airport 30 mins before the time and waited and looked for 45 minutes after the pick up time They are trying to charge us for a cancellation fee that amounts to the cost of the rental but I won t stop fighting against it Do not rent from them

Don t take the risk
We had a terrible experience here When we came to pickup the car 20 minutes early with our booking confirmation and all the necessary documents they said there wasn t a car available for us They hadn t called or emailed us about this so there we were standing with our luggage and no car to travel further This also happened to 2 other couples on the same day They told the other couples there wasn t a car because they were too late for the pickup 1 couple was there 5 minutes late When i called with the head office they told me they couldn t help me also because they didn t have any cars But 1 couple from Israel just 5 minutes before us got a car immediately We think they paid a very high price So a very strange and disappointing experience overall You can take your chances with this rental company but I wouldn t recommend it

Total scam
At the pick up counter Adocar lied to me and told me my deposit was being declined While still at the counter I called my credit card and they told me that Adocar wasn t even trying to charge my card a deposit After lying to me that my credit card was being declined they made me buy extra insurance for 175 or else they wouldn t rent me the car I had already paid for They also refused to refund my money if I declined to buy the extra insurance a total scam

Avoid You will Pay Double Rip off Scam
The shuttled never showed they charged us more than DOUBLE our quote despite having pre-paid all required insurance and the pick up process took more than two hours of valuable vacation time Their credit card machine is rigged forcing you to buy additional insurance Other customers arriving at the same time had the same miserable experience Avoid at all cost Total scam
