Collection service was not as expected

Hi there is no issue with the parking the car and the shuttle service to from the airport What I was disappointed about is that on return I had to hunt for my car even though I had parked in the drop and go section of the car park leaving the key behind If I and known I could have gone for the parking the car myself and keeping the key as it seems there was no difference really in the service provided on the return journey

Automated check in at Bristol Airport

Automated check in at Bristol Airport which was slow as some people found hard to use machines Good transfer On returning only 3 people giving keys back long wait as so busy due to delayed flights arriving Staff poor customer facing skills Just didn t seem interested

Have never had reason to not give Airparks 5stars But unfortunately my last experience was not a good one 22nd September we stayed overnight at the Holiday Inn on-site at Luton Airport Next morning at 4 15am we waited for the transfer shuttle bus to the airport the live feed information board was counting down to the next arrival when the info board said Due no bus arrived subsequently shortly afterwards two buses passed by with Not in Service on them The live feed then resumed at next bus 27 minutes I was left no alternative than to push two large cases up the hill to the airport terminal with my 74 year old wife struggling behind me It had been raining constantly for two days and we had to go through an underpass which was flooded and muddy It was a messy and sweaty start to what should have been a stress free start to our holiday The services provided by Airpark need to be trustworthy especially for pensioners or people with mobility difficulties

Good price and booking poor from car park to terminal

The booking process and price was good but once at the airport the Mid stay which I d booked wasn t the short 6 minute walk that is advertised Due to ongoing building work the mid stay appears to have moved further away and I could only find a space next to the long stay The walk with 2 large suitcases wasn t easy as there wasn t any trolleys and no proper footpath all the way you find yourself walking through the car park following temporary signs over rough ground and up hill to get to the terminal In all it took around a good 10 minutes I ll book long stay and get the bus next time

On arrival at 4am the car park barrier

On arrival at 4am the car park barrier indicated it was full no spaces available I had booked and had my reference number and booking details The guy did deal with it fairly quickly but I wanted problem free parking especially in the middle of the night Did have to wait 15 mins in the bitter cold around 10 30 pm for the bus on the return journey

We have used Vaux Road Luton numerous

We have used Vaux Road Luton numerous occasions over the last few years where service was excellent Unfortunately when we arrived at 3 30am with the driving telling us we had to put luggage on ourselves which was impossible due to the amount of cases all ready in there also my concern is what happens if one of these fall on someone when the doors are opened at airport The driver did help when asked but after mumbling something to us Considering the price that has increased quite a bit I would expect the service to be better

Website could not cope with my booking

Website could not cope with my booking for parking and bednight with flight out next day nor could it recognise my flight Online chat told me to use a different booking method which was 40 more expensive when I declined I received a link to the booking I had originally requested The hotel and parking were excellent However the shuttle bus driver failed to stop or even slow down at the hotel bus stop On his next circuit he claimed we were not at the bus stop technically correct as about 6 of us with luggage were standing at the hotel door This driver had no interest in providing a service

Conned out of 52 00 excess Easy access and car collection

Easy access and car collection but quoted for two weeks holiday parking 98 00 then got email with the dates changed to one week Had to pay 52 00 for second week -would have been cheaper by taxi with the added excess Seems a deliberate overcharge I wonder how often this happens db

Heathrow outbound service was great

Heathrow outbound service was great inbound can t say the same I took my ticket to get my keys could see the car but was dismissed and told to rake a seat somewhere out of the way after 20 mins and repeated requests for the keys eventually I was allowed to have them then told to move my car so someone else could use the space After a long 20 journey I found this all very stressful Not sure I would bother again

Car left in tricky parking spots

The last two times I used the Luton drop go long stay my car was left in very tricky spots They obviously park cars tightly together but the main issue I think is that they fill up the car park in a sequence so it is easy to park going in not easy to leave if none of the cars around you have vacated their spots There is usually no one around to spot you The last time I used their service I was parked in a massive puddle I m sure the puddle wasn t there when they parked my car but it still doesn t make the situation any better not my fault their facility has drainage problems Usually have to wait around 10-15 minutes for the bus On one trip we had many bags and with a toddler in a push chair The bus drive was rude and impatient Really wasn t happy I had to keep getting in out to load all the luggage while wife was inside with the kid Almost thought he d close the door and drive off As luck would have it on my latest trip the return driver was a really nice chap but I was alone with no baggage Maybe all their drivers should be courteous and appreciate that flying is stressful with kids This is one of the cheapest services for a reason I guess
