my research led me to believe that ALA provided not just one of the best GAP insurance policies but also one of the best value So why only two stars Two stars awarded because believe me if you do not take out cover immediately you will be bombarded with emails to the extent that my inbox looked like the Somme Bad and poor show ALA

Just tried to renew for a new car I change car each year on a lease scheme Car was identical other than being a year newer and having 4K of additional options Told the premium had more than tripled as the same underwriter was not available but they would offer 25 off making it 2 5 time s the previous year cost Said I d compare other quotes Completed online quote with ALA as a new customer and charged almost identical to my original premium

I hope that I will have no issue with the bike policy I have just arranged but that confidence has been shaken by the fact that the documentation has come back to me in the name of someone else despite all the information being provided by me accurate to me and the policy paid for by me If the system can be so inaccurate will any claim be handled any better

Poor follow-up after signing up
Signed up via comparison website for RAC warranty and was passed to ALA with no explanation - although several days have passed no documentation actual or electronic has appeared - I don t even know what I m signed up for

Be careful with email and being told you will be contacted
Was told I would get an email from bexhill finance to confirm DD I ve had one email with a password included but was supposed to get another with a username and cannot get hold of anyone from Bexhill or ALA we don t want our insurance cancelled but can imagine it now will be as we cannot sign the contract

Not peace of mind
3 different services detected an issue with my flywheel but for RAC warranty ALA insurance to accept the claim I need to pay 180 to take out the engine take a photo video send it wait and as one service man told me - they will not accept anything as evidence in 90 cases So I have a warranty that can t fix my car It was an extended warranty purchased 6 months after the car purchase
