ONCE AGAIN THEY WHEEDLE OUT OF PAYING Unfortunately the same part has failed on my Land Rover Discovery and surprise surprise the warranty won t cover the same problem twice even though it is no fault of the driver No surprise its in the small print somewhere Good job vehicle insurance doesn t restrict drivers to one accident

Although no service was required my relatively low cost claim was rejected because no service had been done within 12 months of policy start When asked what a service comprised they could not tell me A new engine had been fitted but that wasn t a service as far as they were concerned SMALL PRINT GET OUT TAKE GREAT CARE IF USING THIS COMPANY

Just called ALA and once again not covered
Just called ALA as my air conditioning has developed a leak told my warranty does not cover pipework this is the third time ive been told my warranty does not cover me diagnosis of fault- not coveredpipework on vehicle-not coveredbatteries-not coveredlabour paid if they decide i can claim 70 an hour which is lower than any garage charge total waste of money dont fall for the false claims of best EV insurance I look forward to your reply Jason the 70 an hour VAT was what was offered to Jaguar Hendy dealer when they were investigating a high voltage issue in 2023 so not sure why that happened didn t matter in the end as i was once again not covered by ALA for this work The faulty air conditioning pipe has been diagnosed by my garage but when i called the helpline yesterday i was told pipework was also not covered under the ALA warranty

Hi all avoid this company in any way specially if you have car warranty insurance Ala warranty works with spectrumcovers they have very bad reviews with delay payments delay responds to you claim decline claims everything written off as a wear and tear My car been left in the garage for 5weeks now and claim been refused because it s wear and tear but warranty sed I been covered the part has been broken Long story very bad experience very upset I will request pay me back my insurance money I have paid them in full

ALA Gap insurance This is a broker and not the insurance company So when you make a claim you are going through the whole claims process as for a accident So you have to provide the details again They want so many details that it will encourage you not to make claim The process is complicated and time consuming They don t talk to your insurance company so you have to do the leg work If I had known about this process I would have shopped elsewhere Will not recommend I haven t even got my settlement yet Just quick update settlement done but I have now brought another car and switched my gap insurance -is not with these guys The other gap insurance provider settles all claims with my insurance company and they talk to each other No need for me to provide any additional forms or ask any silly questions All dealt in house with my car insurance Worry free with 5 star

Warranty perfromance is inadequate
I took out a warranty on my car and during the year have had to make two enquiries regarding potential claims on both occasions the claims handler did not even bother to return the enquiry I have no confidence that this warranty will pay out and reviews substantiate this - ALA may be fine if you want to feel safe with GAP insurance but it is a big outlay for dubious cover on warranties I will not be renewing

My policy has doubled from 350 odd
My policy has doubled from 350 odd which I paid last year to 669 to renew this year I haven t made any claims I would understand a 10-20 increase but an increase of a 100 is unjustifiable The other reviews also suggest that if I did have a claim they might have looked for a way not to pay out on the policy I will not be renewing

I have had terrible experience with ALA and underwriter spectrum PLEASE BE AWARE ALA IS ONLY BROKER AND SPECTRUM IS THE UNDER WRITER I would have given -1 if there was any option I took the warranty cover from them and I had issue with the coolant leak and was told to get diagnosis done from local garage My car is hybrid so local mechanic advised me to take the car to dealership garage and after the diagnosis they found out that the cylinder head is out of spec and needs replacement and the policy clearly cover the cylinder head I phoned the under writer SPECTRUM to inform them about the situation but after many phone calls they finally spoke to the garage The spectrum advisor phones me and says unfortunately we will not cover the claim because the car overheated The advisor clearly lied to me because the car never overheated and garage was surprised from the spectrum false claim I complaint about it and was told to contact ALA as I bought the policy from them I phoned ALA and they said we are only broker and we cannot help you After several weeks of back and forth I spoke to the manager at Spectrum Mr Cartledge He was rude on the phone and you could feel that it is total waste of time talking to him It is a fraud company and I will definitely seek legal action against them I have all the reports from the garage indicating that there was no overheating involved I will advise everyone not to buy warranty from them They will find any way to decline your claim It is not worth it at all There are many better companies out there they might be little expensive but surely better than ALA and spectrum

Disappointed Penalized for Preventing Bigger Problems
I recently had a frustrating experience with ALA Insurance when I tried to make a claim for a timing chain repair on my car I noticed a rattling noise coming from the engine and immediately took it to a garage to get checked out The mechanic found that the timing chain was worn out and needed to be replaced to avoid serious engine damage I submitted a claim thinking this would be covered under the warranty but ALA rejected it They said the timing chain was a wear-and-tear item and that it wasn t a mechanical failure so they couldn t help Why This Doesn t Feel Fair 1 The timing chain is a crucial part of the engine If it fails it could cause catastrophic damage that would be far more expensive to repair than replacing the chain 2 I tried to prevent a bigger costlier issue by addressing the problem early Instead of recognizing this as responsible maintenance they denied the claim and left me to foot the bill 3 I ve taken good care of my car and always kept it serviced This was an unexpected issue and I thought that s exactly what the warranty was for to help with sudden unforeseen problems It feels like I m being punished for trying to save ALA money in the long run If I d waited for the chain to fail completely and ruin the engine maybe then they would ve helped but that would ve been dangerous and reckless While ALA may technically be within their rights to reject the claim it s left me feeling let down I expected more understanding and flexibility in situations like this If you re considering ALA just be aware that they may not cover issues you d assume are essential to preventing bigger problems

I have been from ALA warranty for 3 years and they have been amazing however not long ago they have switched from RAC to Spectrum and unfortunately since then its been downhill Spectrum has really long waiting times very often rude and not very helpful ALA needs to return to RAC as this is definitely not for the best or ALA s customers ALA has very helpful and polite staff but unfortunately Spectrum destroy the reputation As a 3 years customer I can tell the difference Update on my review RAC used to pay back in 3 days however only today I found out that Spectrum needs 30 days or more to pay back the claim They have really destroy the good name of ALA
