good enough

ordered a keyboard and some guitar bits the price on the keyboard was around 60 cheaper than everywhere else so can t fault that really the bit where they lose a point is this the tracking number didn t work and the item didn t arrive on the day it was supposed to a phone call to andertons and they gave a new tracking number which said the item was on hold the item was delivered the following day everything was in fine order and well packaged delivery guy was quite plesant too i know this is nothing to do with andertons themselves but it does help with overall experience I would buy from them again on selective items they are not the cheapest around usually but the items i have had have always arrived in good order they are certainly better than another company that starts with B and ends in AX

Brilliant fast service

Brilliant fast service Love my new guitar set up was not perfect Bad buzz at nut on one string intonation was way out I would rather wait a few days knowing the guitar had been checked properly before dispatch

Great products excellent service

I ve used Andertons on many occasions and each and every time my goods have arrived promptly On one occasion the guitar I received had a blemish Andertons moved extremely swiftly to sort out the problem Couldn t ask for anymore The only disappointment which is why they lose a star is because small items are still charge at next day delivery rate Not a major issue but it does prevent me from buying things like strings from them due to the fact they charge 4 99 for delivery A bit much for an item that only costs around a fiver I would happily buy smaller items from Andertons for the cost of a stamp or two

Nearly great

Overall a good experience my guitar is well set up and I m happy with it Customer service communication is ok but not brilliant The case I ordered was in stock when I ordered it but apparently not when they went to pick it causing a delay An email about this would have been appreciated The chap I spoke to when I chased up was cheerful friendly and helpful and I had no problem getting through He did say though they are overrun with orders during lockdown Well if this is the case how about hiring one of the thousands of unemployed on a temp contract to check stock against listings and another to manage customer emails returns That would probably make all the difference to these reviews

Nice people but a total mess

UPDATE Sorted in the end and made amends with nice gestures Bought a new guitar - arrived defective Asked for swap - told it would be in store later that week Went to store 3 hour round rip - replacement not there Only 2 out of 5 alternative guitars I asked for available Asked for original guitar - told available in 3 more days 2 Days later - told replacement now weeks away Staff have always been cool on phone and in person but ultimately of no use Relaying incorrect information and not proactive enough in sorting issues Still no guitar - will have taken 3 weeks to just buy a guitar from here

Good but not quite 100 this time

The online ordering was simple and worked well but unfortunately when I ordered the item I was after they later realised that the stock had been marked incorrectly in the warehouse so couldn t supply me with what I was after They were professional at handling this mistake though with a prompt personal email which gave detail about the expected delivery time of new stock coming in and issued a refund immediately when I confirmed that I did not want to wait for the stock to arrive Shame it didn t work out but they were good enough to not leave me feeling bitter

Maybe in the minority but no problems here

Reading all these negative reviews I m wondering if I ve been buying from the same company I ve purchased several music tech gadgets from their Guildford store over the last few months a couple of them turned out to be unsuitable after I got them home but Andertons just let me return them within 14 days for a no questions asked exchange or refund No hassle at all Knocked off a star because the trade in prices they give for music tech is pretty much on the low side Always found the staff helpful in store too Never ordered online so can t comment on how well that does or doesn t work

Choose a better shipping company

It s unfortunate that Andertons uses the delivery companies they use They are terrible I blame Andertons for choosing them but they know and I agree that cheap shipping is a major factor in online sales Andertons site does say they have no control or recourse with their delivery companies but most people don t read it or understand it apparently Andertons CLEARLY needs more staff to answer emails and process orders That said all personal and product experiences I ve had direct with Andertons have been exceptional So not quite ideal but generally very good

Very good

I ve had a few items from andertons over the years and the service has always been very good In the one instance i had an issue where i wasn t happy with the quality of a product they accepted the return and allowed me to exchange the goods for something else Delivery has always been prompt and communication very good

Not just box shifters

Used Andertons website to order a pedal and other guitar bits shipped out to central Europe the order was recieved very promptly shipping cost was very fair Had a slight problem with the power supply that came with the pedal - it was missing a euro adapter which should have been included After a bit of to-ing and fro-ing of emails Andertons sorted the problem and shipped the missing item out to me FOC Great customer service which shows that Andertons are more than just box shifters I will definately use them again
