I chose 3 different plans

The rates listed could be more transparent My first 2 bills weee higher with new company despite listed rates showing it would be less Maybe there are fees that weren t listed

Review if my experience thus far is well below standards

I chose 3 different plans Each one told me the plan was not available in my area after it lets me go through the whole sign up process Even getting my social security number and credit card before its lets me know its not available That s just not wright to get all my billing info before telling me plans not available

Too high and needs to lower

After talking to the provider we have been told that they have yet to put in the order with CenterPoint I received no email from them after I was told I should be receiving one within 15 minutes of signing up in fact I have received no correspondence from them at all I have been told that despite having the confirmation number from ChooseTexasPower there was still a review process that had to take place before we could have our power turned on I thought that s what I had already done What s the purpose of applying through this site if after being acceoted I have to be reviewed again It seems redundant and unnecessary and adds additional and unnecessary stress to a situation that is already a little frustrating and stressful On top of that I m being told by CenterPoint to call them yet again and request an expedited service

My very first statements chargers were

My very first statements chargers were incorrect when I called and told them that they charged me for and early termination fee when i had just signed up with them they apologized and fixed it So my 330 electric bill went down to 90 because they took off the 240 cancelation fee So I paid the 90 Then when I received my second statement the bill showed my previous charges were 330 which a payment received of 90 leaving a balance forward of 247 Then they added my current total net charges of 176 that statement to my balance forward of 247 and said I owed the 420 I called and explained that I should not have a balance forward because all my fist bills total chargers were just 90 I should not have a balance forward at all ALL THAT I OWE IS MY total current net charges of 176 I spoke with a supervisor whom I could barley understand and he told me that the first page overview was for visibility purposes I went ahead and paid the 420 because I did not wamt my power to go put Both my statements charges are incorrect and I will be filing an complaint to the Texas utilities commissions and the attorneys General office to get this forrectedb

I enrolled for service via

I enrolled for service via choosetexaspower com and chose a service connection date and was told I would be receiving a email from the company once order was completed and service started I never received anything from the company but I received a review request from Choose Texas Power I have no way to create an account via the provider s website due to no account number being issued and no response emails either

Plans list that are not Available

I don t understand why you list plans under my zip code that are in fact NOT available in my zip code This happened TWICE to me Very frustrating when trying to pick a plan Frustrating and preventable to say the least

The way the rates are filtered has to be revised I don t recommend the first choice they advertise LOOK at what they are promoting and then change the filter settings for better matching The electric companies are playing this game to pop up first much like google ads

First when you are only 26 dollars

First when you are only 26 dollars behind don t threaten to cut peoples power off Bad move Next lower the prices a bit so people can afford to live Last better customer service and nicer people

Decept marketing Locked in for a rate of 11c a watt They left out once you go over a certain amount it jumps considerably I paid more in electric for past few months than I have almost 8 months of my old power company If you want to sign up make sure you read carefully

Customer service does not seem to understand what I m saying about my contract They will switch it back to my previous electric company I ll just go with someone else Spoke broken English
