Almost All the electric providers use gimmicks like free nights weekends rebates while charging more per kilowatt hour to offset the gimmick cost This hides the real cost of the electricity and confuses customers Deregulation of electricity in Texas was a mistake after all we are talking about a utility

False rate advertisement or at least not very clear on rate disclosure based on usage Very disappointed as I thought that when I signed up our rate would be 09 cents kw Upon my first bill it was 15 kw I called and spoke to a representative and never got anywhere Very frustrated and disappointed I do like the weekly energy usage email updates

Whomever I spoke to started signing me

Whomever I spoke to started signing me up for TXU but said the system glitched found a better rate with another company She proceeded to sign me up for the other company but 14 days later I received a bill update from both companies It s been a nightmare to say the least

I signed up for company advertised by website because fact sheet said 10cents per kwh based on usage from - 1000kw- 1999kw Bills are charging 14 cents per kwh for same range fact sheets either were not updated to reflect correct charges or false advertising I can t cancel since there is a cancellation fee

Energy rates are way too damn expensive Doesn t matter what company you select it s all a rip off It s a damn shame that our country has gone to hell and all suppliers are taking advantage of the situation It has come to the point as to where people have to choose between AC or groceries

Poor service Representative did not wish to take the time to answer questions about the service plans or perhaps did not know the answers He passed the call on to another service group that didn t answer the phone in a reasonable time

I was using online sign up and had questions about my meter ESI ID so I phoned the customer service number Bad idea The man could barely speak English He wrote down and repeated the wrong ID number then gave me the wrong address to the said meter ID Then told me he was going to find me best deal for me After a few minutes he came back to me offering a different company with a higher rate than I had already told him I wanted He began talking over me and was argumentative I ended up hanging up on him I finished my order online and did not have complications

I liked that it was easy and fast to sign up however I was supposed to receive an email with details 15 minutes after signing up But I haven t received an email yet and it s been hours
