Beware of trial discount tickets

Trains delayed canceled 80 of the time Refusal to refund impossible to get support Ticket purchasing system stuck in the 80s internal systems that are not connected so even when you think you have a valid discount ticket you get fined upon inspection due to system errors It is abysmal how bad the service is And if you ever get one of their discount cards EVEN THE LIMITED TRIAL VERSION they will automatically enroll you to a yearly subscription if you don t say no to it 6 weeks before the end of the trial period BEWARE

Today 11 08 2022 I was travelling to work early morning from Freilassing with RE train from Salzburg to Munich at 05 24 I had the 9 Euro Ticket for the month offer offered by Bayern for July and August to travel Long story short the lady conductor came I showed her my electronic ticket on my phone and she demanded I showed her my passport I do not know whether this is normal or is it because I am black Most times the conductors are very rude to blacks and treat us differently because I saw another man next to me had the same ticket and he was not asked for his Passport

It is nothing but sad how bad this organization is I am trying to cancel my ProbebahnCard 25 and it is nothing but impossible Customers have to navigate through a jungle of different pages and yet the option to administer BahnCards cannot be found Pages keep on redirecting you to nowhere This is only the tip of the iceberg It almost seems like a fraudulent sheme where you are triggered into a subscription that cannot be cancelled I regularly use trains in Denmark Italy and Germany and it is simply shameful what Deutsche Bahn keeps on coming up with

I was fined when updated my bank details for direct debit DB attempted to collect payment from closed account instead of newly provided Several emails all ignored by deutsche Bahn but they are quick to write letters demanding cash fines

Disappointing

In the USA being German is the epitome of punctuality and reliability My actual train ICE 573 was cancelled I had to take a train 2 hours later which was also late with a different set of cars and shortly before arrival the Plattform was changed Needless to say I had to run to the next platform with all my luggage to catch my train To make matters worse the doors were obviously broken and only opened just before departure I won t be able to catch my connecting train Despite the accommodating arrangement to take a later train with the same ticket I was treated rudely by the conductor because he thought I was travelling without a valid ticket That really was the last time I travelled with Deutsche Bahn I cannot recommend Deutsche Bahn If you want to travel within Germany you should take the plane

Constant phone calls to resolve a train ticket that DB have changed Their Twitter contact agents are useless Haven t even had the pleasure of travelling with them yet
