The worst railway company in the entire
The worst railway company in the entire EU I used DB to travel to Germany from Prague and Vienna several times I never came on time There are always some problems delays longer than one hour strikes from GDL broken trains The whole company is a joke My last train was cancelled due to a strike You would expect to get an e-mail from a serious company informing you about it but no DB can only send you a useless newsletter but nobody gets there an idea to inform the passengers about the cancelled train In the normal world one would expect that they refund you the money for the train that was cancelled but no no DB has its own world where no customer law applies Here you have to go through a complicated process and who knows whether they send you the money at the end still waiting

I just had the strangest experience The service lady actually hung up on me
I just had the strangest experience The service lady actually hung up on me I had a question about a claim I had to fill in since I was on a train which was 3 hours delayed and when entering the train it turned out the room where our reserved and payed for seats were in the airconditioning was broken So we werer told to get of the train or sit on the floor all the way from Berlin to Amsterdam with my 70 year old mother Then allready no-one was willing or there to help us Eventhough they allready knew before the train arrived that this was going to happen And then the said over the intercom that we would me getting a full refund For which could not find the form and I wanted to call them and ask about that 5 times calling with a few times waiting over 30 minutes in line and then the lady hangs up on me I am truly amazed I wasn t even unfriendly which I surely could have been after this experience How crazy that in such a rich developed country the company responsible for a great deal of the public transportations is such a mess

Can t get refund for the DB ticket which I haven t used
Yesterday I with collegue had the train back from Berlin to Hamburg This was the Flixtrain First it was delayed for 30 min then the platform changed from 8 to 13 which is from the bottom to the top of the Hauptbahnhof in Berlin Then we went to platform 13 the train still has not arrived during another 20 min and info on the screen was deleted We went a bit down and asked DB personal - nobody knew anything because it s not DB train Finally I decided to buy a ticket on DB to get to Hamburg today Then Flix suddenly arrived and we took it Now I try to get refund for DB tickets and the support says I can t not refundable because I bought the cheapest 126 EUR for 2 tickets is cheap for DB This is icluding my 25 discount for 1 ticket I just want my money back for the offer I haven t used And this is not only the Flixtrain fault that there was lack of information concerning the train In the end if I m on the central train station of Germany I expect to get enough info concerning the train not depending to which company or country it belongs So I will not be surprised if the DB will become bankrupt in the next years - I can t call it a service at all it s a nightmare and disaster and the most expensive tickets for the train I ve ever seen And not refundable what is nonsense

What a disaster
So you book a ticket for a train of 4h 150 You specifically choose the train with a place reservation to avoid mess The apps messes up anyways and now you end sitting on the floor for 4 hours The efficient Gernmany

DB are an appalling company
I have been trying to get a refund for seat bookings thank goodness it isn t a large amount of money because it seems unlikely that it will happen I can not find an email address or proper claim form where I can submit a claim DB do not take responsibility for their cancelled services and make it easy for customers to be reimbursed

They dont opererate when its raining
They dont opererate when its raining when its snowing when its to hot when its to cold when its windy on vacation time on weekends when its dark The other times they are working but usually they have so much delay but they are smart if they stop the train there cant be a reported delay so they just stop somewhere and you never reach your destination in time Usually there are more people talking loudly on their phone than in any callcenter And there are more drunk people than Friday evening in the most famous pub at your city

Deutsce Bahn chaos
Don t trust that you will arrive anywhere near on time for connections to any of their other trains or plane connections Travelled from Brussels to Berlin rather than fly so that we could see scenery along the way Had an email saying that our train reservation wasn t happening and that we had to book another trip using certain trains and via anywhere orig via Koln but to use the original ticket as they wouldn t re issue a ticket Clear as mud and not very confidence boosting Numerous emails with generic reply each time so rebooked via Frankfurt much later in the day meaning not much daylight for scenery And had to repurchase seats and no refund even with flexi tickets Got to train station and was told tickets weren t valid as the train had gone earlier that morning as scheduled Advised to show our emails to someone on the station platform told where the station master would be by other DB employees but no one there so hopped on the train Conductor asked were we going to Koln or Frankfurt She was very nice unfazed and said that s okay as it obviously happpens all the time People off sick so no catering on train Train delayed as they always seem to be chaos everywhere then an announcment for another delay as the incoming staff needed a break before starting Well and truly missed connection but then just got on the next train to Berlin Didn t have reserved seats of course but another passenger said don t worry this train is substituting for another cancelled train so no one has seats Got to Berlin finally about 5 hours after our original planned arrival but at least the same day Hint for travelling DB Give yourself plenty of time for connections don t stress too much if you miss one and just hop on any train going where you want to with fingers crossed
